Gwinnett County PD seek help in identifying suspected car thief

Male caught on surveillance before allegedly stealing a car from an auto repair shop

(Atlanta, Ga., February 23, 2021) – On Feb. 11, a male subject was captured on video surveillance right before he allegedly stole a car from an auto repair shop in Gwinnett County.  He was seen on surveillance walking around the parking lot of 6704 Buford Hwy before he eventually got in a car and drove away.

The employees of the store were not able to stop the suspect before he fled the area.  He was wearing blue or black jacket with a distinctive gray stripe down the side.  Investigators are releasing a photo of the suspect in hopes that someone can identify who he is.
