Gwinnett County police seek fugitive accused of armed home invasion

Gwinnett County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Israel Bland, 25, who cut off his ankle monitor on June 30 while awaiting trial on a 2016 home invasion robbery.

According to a press release from Gwinnett County Police , on May 16, 2018, Bland, along with other suspects allegedly committed a home invasion robbery on Cannonball Court, unincorporated Lawrenceville. During the robbery, three people, including Bland, were shot. He was subsequently charged with five counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery, home invasion robbery, several counts of false imprisonment, and possession of a firearm during the commission of the crimes. He was in jail awaiting trial until Feb. 10, of this year when he was released on bond with an ankle monitor. On June 30, he removed his ankle monitor and fled. Bland’s bond has been revoked and  he is now facing additional charges on removing the ankle monitor. He remains at large.
