Gwinnett offers free lunch/snack for kids, teens and disabled adults

Gwinnett County is offering a free lunch or snack over the summer to those who may need it. Through a partnership with Georgia Nutritional Services, the County is offering this service through the federal Summer Food Service program on weekdays from June 3 – 28 and July 8 to Aug. 2. The meals will be available at Best Friend Park in Norcross as the Lilburn Activity Building and Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville. These sites are located in the Board of Education school clusters where more than half of the students in those clusters receive free or reduced-cost lunches. Lunch will be served at these sites from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and snacks from 2:30 to 3 p.m. on the designated days. Summer camp attendees also qualify for the free lunch and snacks. There will be no service the week of July 1 – 5.
