(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  A detective assigned to the Special Victims Unit in Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a rape suspect. According to a press release from GCPD, on Saturday, September 22, officers assigned to the GCPD West Precinct were dispatched to a call about a possible rape and officers arrived at an apartment complex in the city of Peachtree Corners and met with a woman.

“The woman told the officers that she walked into her sister’s bedroom that morning and found a man raping her sister while she was asleep. The woman began to fight with the suspect while the victim was unconscious. During the struggle, the suspect jumped out of the second story window and landed on the grass below. By the time officers arrived, he was gone,” Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a press release. “The woman told the officers that the family was having a small party at the home the night before, but no one had invited the suspect. He was unknown to everyone.”

Pihera said the detective assigned to this case has not yet managed to identify the suspect and needs the public’s help to put a name to the face.
