Gwinnett Police seek help in identifying I-85 carjacking suspect

Gwinnett Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a carjacking that took place just before 2 a.m. on April 28, 2018, on the Duluth Highway exit from Interstate-85. The victim was rear-ended by a black pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150 as she was exiting the Interstate.

When she complied he grabbed her purse and threw it away from her vehicle. The male then drove away in the victim’s vehicle and the black truck followed him away from the scene with an unidentified driver,” Gwinnett County Police Department reported in a press release. “The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male, over six feet tall, short dark brown beard, wearing all black clothing, and a black baseball hat.”

The victim’s vehicle is a 2013 black Honda Accord, bearing Georgia tag “RDN 8622,”  last seen traveling south on I-85. The vehicle is pictured below
