The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a recent armed robbery in the unincorporated area of Snellville. During the robbery, the victim was repeatedly assaulted.
According to a press release from GCPD, on “Thursday, Nov. 16, a black male dressed in a tan coat, gray and black hoodie, black gloves, dark blue pants, black shoes, carrying a brown pack walked into the Exxon Gas Station at 2100 Killian Hill Road in unincorporated Snellville. The male forced his way into the rear counter area, placed a black semi-automatic handgun to the employee’s head, and demanded the employee open the registers. The employee told the responding officer that the suspect struck him multiple times in the back of the head with the handgun. After complying with the suspect’s commands, the employee said that the suspect stole several thousand dollars.”
GCPD said about seven unopened packs of scratch off Georgia Lottery tickets as well as cigarettes were stolen. Several of the tickets were subsequently cashed in, three of them the same day with one at the Kroger at 3050 Five Forks Trickum Road in unincorporated Lilburn. A black male in a camouflage jacket was photographed by surveillance in that instance. Three suspects cashed several more of them at the Exxon convenience store at 3585 Lee Road in unincorporated Snellville and another two suspects cashed in a couple more of the stolen lottery tickets at the Quik Trip at 2008 Scenic Highway in Snellville. The suspects arrived in a silver or grey 4-door Pontiac passenger car.
