Gwinnett/Walton Habitat for Humanity celebrates 10 years of impact through “A Brush with Kindness” Repairs

Lawrenceville, GA – October 15, 2024 – Gwinnett/Walton Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce the 10th anniversary of its “A Brush with Kindness” program, a community-focused initiative and ministry that has provided critical home repairs, aging-in-place modifications, and home preservation projects for income-eligible homeowners across Gwinnett and Walton counties. Since its inception, the program has helped restore dignity, safety, and hope to hundreds of families, allowing them to live comfortably and securely in their homes.

“A Brush with Kindness” was launched to address essential repairs that many homeowners struggle to afford, including exterior painting, accessibility improvements, and weatherization. Over the past decade, this initiative has transformed the lives of senior citizens, veterans, and families facing financial hardship, ensuring that everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
