Is your house the one on your block with the Teal Pumpkin?

In 2014, Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) launched The Teal Pumpkin Project®, an international campaign to provide another Halloween option for kids with food allergies or for children for whom candy is not an option. The objective was to keep Halloween a fun and positive experience for all children.

There is a way that you can become part of the campaign. All you have to do is paint a pumpkin teal, by inexpensive non-food treats – examples are glow sticks or small toys to put in the Teal Pumpkin and then placing it on your doorstep during Trick or Treating activities. It shows that your doorstep has non-food treats for children who otherwise may not be able to participate in Trick or Treat.s

FARE’ has a goal for 2017 is to have at least one home on every block in the U.S. with a teal pumpkin. Is your home going to be that one?
