Latest beneficiaries of Walton EMC’s Operation Round Up

Generous Walton EMC customer-owners who allow their electric bill to be rounded up to the next dollar come to the aid of our communities every month.

It only costs them an average of 50 cents a month. But when tens of thousands of customer-owners participate, it adds up to big dollars.

Here are the latest Operation Round Up grants:

Angel House of Georgia – $4,000 for their Angel Fund to help women with substance abuse. All Walton EMC counties.

Burn Foundation of America – $5,000 for direct patient services. All Walton EMC counties.

Camp Kudzu – $5,000 for their camp that serves children with diabetes. All Walton EMC counties.

Diamond Ministries – $1,000 for educational literature to combat domestic abuse and violence. Barrow, Clarke, Green, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Walton.

FOCUS and Fragile Kids – $985 to purchase a medical chair for a teen client. Walton.

For Her Glory – $4,000 to help cancer patients when insurance and personal funds are exhausted. Barrow, Gwinnett, Clarke.

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia – $4,600 for recruitment, membership and supplies. All Walton EMC counties.

Lekotek of Georgia – $3,600 for scholarships to fund play/learning sessions for children with disabilities. Barrow, DeKalb, Clarke, Gwinnett, Morgan, Oconee, Newton, Rockdale, Walton.

Area Churches Serving Together, Cancer Foundation – $16,000 to provide emergency food, shelter and medical needs. All Walton EMC counties.
