Loganville Christian Academy is again hosting a Day with the Pros for the community. This is the second time the school has hosted this camp, the last time in 2018.
This time the event is geared towards middle school students and LCA officials say the are excited to welcome young players onto campus for this event.
If your young athlete is looking to take his skills to the next level, LCA is partnering with retired professional NFL players to host this Day with the Pros on Saturday, April 17. The event will give middle school students the opportunity to work with professionals, such as Chris Slade (former New England Patriot and Carolina Panther player) and Buddy Curry (former Atlanta Falcon), to strengthen their skills during the non-contact football camp.
“We are ecstatic about hosting Day with the Pros at LCA,” said LCA’s Community Engagement and College Recruiting Advisor, Andre King. “As a group of former football players, who played at the highest level of football, we aim to give back to the next generation of gridiron great.”
King is a former Cleveland Browns player.
LCA officials report that during this morning event, campers will break off into groups to work with professionals in their specific positions. Players will get to participate in 1 on 1s and finish the day with a 7 on 7 game.
Lunch will be provided to campers along with time to connect with professionals off the field.
“I’m always excited to welcome players onto LCA’s campus and work to develop football skills with kids in our community, and to be able to do so with a group of men who have played at the highest level is always exciting for the kids!” said Tim Wellmaker, LCA Varsity Football Coach.
Registration for Day with the Pros is now open. For more information and details on additional pros that will participate in the event, go to lcalions.com/daywiththepros or contact Andre King at andrek@lcalions.com
