LHS Bay Witcher; Jeff Segars name Player, Coach of the Year

Once again this year, both Loganville High School baseball coach Jeff Segars and player Bay Witcher have been honored in the world of Georgia High School baseball. With another state championship under their belt, Segars and Witcher have been named the Georgia Dugout Preview’s Coach and Player of the Year for Georgia Class 5A Baseball.

In making the announcement, Georgia Dugout Preview noted that Witcher finished as “one of the most dominating pitchers in state history,” with 10 victories against state playoff teams in different classifications. He also was credited with the save in the second game of the championship playoffs against Buford, enabling the team to win the championship in two straight games.
