Lilburn man lifeflighted Sunday following motorcycle wreck in Walton County

A 31-year-old man from Lilburn was lifeflighted to Gwinnett Medical Center Sunday afternoon after he wrecked his motorcycle on Piney Grove Road in the Loganville area of Walton County.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Cal Barton, Joshua Williams was traveling east on Piney Grove on a Harley Davidson when he entered a curve at a speed that was allegedly too fast for conditions. Marissa Carr, 19, of Winder was traveling west on Piney Grove in a Honda Pilot when Williams traveled into her lane.

“He laid the motorcycle down and it struck her vehicle,” Barton said. “Mr Williams was lifeflighted to Gwinnett Medical Center with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.”

Barton said Williams was cited for failure to maintain lane and driving without a license. Carr was not injured. The accident happened at about 5:50 p.m. on April 2, 2017.
