Local fifth-grade students receive grant from Walton EMC for Washington D.C. trip

A group of 50 fifth grade students at Walker Park Elementary School received a $250 grant from Walton EMC to help fund their field trip to Washington D.C. Callen Moore with Walton County School district reports that the students in Safety Patrol, Jr. Beta Club, Student Leadership and the Gifted Education Program have been raising funds to help pay for their five-day trip  scheduled for May 2019.

“Walker Park appreciates the generosity of Walton EMC,” Moore said.

Walker Park principal Brian Hobbs, Roger Lamadrid and students are pictures presenting a formal letter of appreciation to Jennifer Brun, Walton EMC’s Community and Youth Specialist.
