Loganville baseball players recognized by City Council for third straight championships

The Loganville City Council recognized the state-champion Loganville High School baseball team at the Loganville City Council meeting last week. The Loganville Red Devil Varsity team won its third straight Class AAAAA Georgia High School Baseball Championship in May, beating Ola in two games straight at Coolray Field.

The team was on hand at Thursday’s City Council meeting to receive the congratulations of the City Council and a Resolution read by Councilman Jay Boland.

And, for his leadership in leading the team to three straight state titles, and five during his career at the school, Coach Jeff Segars was presented with a ceremonial key to the city.

Special recognized was also given to Jacob Boyd, who was recently named second team All American by MaxPreps and first team All State.
