Loganville Christmas Parade cancelled for 2018

There will be no Loganville Christmas Parade this year, according to officials with the City of Loganville. There had been attempts to reschedule, but officials were unable to get it coordinated with the Georgia Department of Transportation in time.

“Unfortunately, we will not be able to reschedule this year’s Christmas parade. We could not find a date that gave us the ability to close our roads without impacting other events and one where we could get a significant number of participants to attend,” officials noted on the Facebook page. Kristy Daniel confirmed the cancellation at the TRIAD meeting on Friday morning.

The entry fee to the Loganville Parade was canned food for Shepherd’s Staff, a food bank in Loganville. If you have the donation available, Daniel said you are welcome to drop it off at City Hall.

“People have still been dropping off food at city hall. I have several boxes full of food in my office that I plan to take to shepherds staff next week,” Daniel said. “We can still accept more if someone wants to drop some off.”
