Update
The Loganville Health Department had its Ribbon Cutting on May 20 and is now opening and offering health-related services, including WIC.

Initial Story
The community is invited to attend the official Ribbon Cutting and Open House at the new Loganville location of the Walton County Health Department. It is now located at the old Loganville City Hall, 4385 Pecan St. The public is invited to drop in between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019, to tour the new facility and for the official grand opening. There will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11 a.m.
The new facility has been open since Dec. 3, 2018, under the new name, Loganville Health Department instead of bearing the name of the previous location at the government building at West Walton. Plans to relocate were first considered in 2016 when Loganville decided to relocate City Hall to the old Loganville Elementary School. The new City Hall was dedicated in the summer of 2017 and one of the first items on the agenda for the Loganville City Council was to approve the relocation of the Health Department to the old City Hall building.
Councilman Skip Baliles said he believed many of the clients in Loganville walked from the city center to Tom Brewer Road for services from the health department.
“It will be much easier for those folks who are the most vulnerable to get there,” he said at the time. Being able to offer WIC services from the new location was another benefit that was touted as an important reason to consider the move. That has now been accomplished. The Loganville Health Department began offering WIC services last week.
It took several months and a lot of work to complete, but the new Loganville Health Department is now open and offering the following services to the community.
