Residents in Loganville who may want something a little stronger than a beer or wine this Sunday won’t have to remember to rush out and get it the day before. Following the passing of the Special Election Referendum on March 21, package stores in the city will be able to sell “malt beverages, wine and distilled spirits” on a Sunday. The Referendum passed with 49 people voting for it and 17 against.
The ordinance was already in place to allow for the Sunday hours of operation to begin at 12:30 p.m. and remain open until 11:30 p.m. on a Sunday. Both package stores in the city, however, have announced their Sunday hours, effective from this Sunday, will be from 12:30 to 7 p.m.
Legacy Beverage Center is located at 330 Athens Highway and Loganville Package Center is located at 3967 Atlanta Highway.
