The Loganville Police Department reported the following incidents for December 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dec. 1, 2017
A 37-year-old Decatur man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence – less safe – alcohol and open container of alcohol in motor vehicle after he was observed driving and parking behind Loganville Fire Station No. 15 on Lee Byrd Drive and got out, asking a fireman on duty to call him a cab as he was drunk. He reportedly told staff at the fire station that he had left his girlfriend’s place on Memorial Drive and had no idea how he got to the location behind the LFD. Two open containers of Vodka were allegedly found on the passenger front seat of the vehicle. He vehicle was towed and he was taken to Clearview Medical Center for a blood test before being booked into Walton County Jail.
Dec. 2, 2017
A 54-year-old Loganville woman was arrested and charged with DUI – less safe alcohol, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle and for a tag light violation after a “chugging down” two beers she had just purchased from the store. She was transported to the Loganville Police Station and allegedly tested at .151 and .141 grams on intox machine. She was booked and transported to the Walton County Jail.

Three men were arrested and charge with criminal trespass when they were found living in an unoccupied camper on property on Conyers Road in Loganville. The vacant property was being fixed for resale and the men had allegedly broken out the back window and were living in the camper. When approached by police, they said they were homeless and had nowhere to live.
Dec. 15, 2017
A 33-year-old Loganville man was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked following an accident on Georgia 10 and Logan Drive. He was booked and released on a copy of the citation.
Dec. 16, 2017
A 26-year-old Loganville man was charged with failure to maintain lane, hit and run – duty of driver to stop or return to accident site and driving without a valid license – misdemeanor following a hit and run at the intersection of Lee Byrd and Bay Creek Road. Following a description of the vehicle the driver was approached in the parking lot outside the Cup and Saucer, where he allegedly confessed to not having a license. He also appeared to be intoxicated, according to the report. His vehicle was turned over to a family member who arrived on the scene and the subject had blood drawn by Walton EMS before being released to the family member.
A 43-year-old Loganville male was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and operating an unregistered vehicle after he was observed driving a vehicle with no license plate. He was stopped by police and allegedly was unable to produce a license either. He was booked at LPD and released on a copy of the citation.

A 19-year-old Loganville man was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign and for possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce after he was observed by a Loganville police officer allegedly running the stop sign on Covington Street at Bobby Boss Drive. He allegedly confessed to smoking marijuana and had a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana inside the center console. He was transported to LPD for booking and released on a copy of the citation.
