Loganville Planning Commission/City Council considers mini-golf development on Harrison Road

The City of Loganville Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020. An item up for discussion is a rezone from LI to CH at 3875 Harrison Road for a mini-golf course. The item also will be on the joint work session and regular April meeting of the Loganville City Council at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2020. In this new normal of social distancing, both meetings will be via zoom and the public is invited to attend.

The proposed development for mini-golf by Vicki and Mark Nichols, of Loganville, plans to start with an 18-hold competition-grade mini-golf course and a 9-hole kiddie mini-golf course, a snack bar with prepackaged food and drinks and rooms for birthday parties and other events. The plan is to include a lighted tent-like cover on one of the courses to enable players to continue to play even in wind, rain and darkness.

These are initial plans. According to the application, if the first part works out well and gets the support of the public, the plan is to then add a large totally outdoor mini-golf course as well as an interactive water enhanced mini-golf course known as splash golf.
