LPD invites the community to get ready to lace up your running shoes in support a great cause

The Loganville Police Department’s 12th Annual Donut Dash is scheduled for Sept. 19

 The 12th annual 5K Run/Walk benefiting Walton County Special Olympics is set to get underway with a morning of fitness, fun and community spirit. Registration is now open.

Race day begins with packet pick-up and same-day registration at 8 a.m., on Sept. 19, 2026, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. Registration is $25 through the advance registration period and $30 on race day.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Walton County Special Olympics, helping provide year-round athletic opportunities for local athletes with certain disabilities.

Participants who register in advance are guaranteed an event T-shirt, while race-day registrants can receive one as supplies last.

Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply looking to support a worthy cause, organizers encourage runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to join in for a memorable morning that makes a difference.
