MFD extinguish house fire on Roosevelt

The City of Monroe Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish a structure fire at 526 Roosevelt St. in Monroe on Monday night. According to Asst. Fire Chief Bill Owens, the call came in at 9:52 p.m.

“There were no injuries and the fire is believed to have started from a window AC unit,” Owens said.
