Monroe Cotton Mills announced on its Facebook page Thursday that it is putting Food Truck Friday on hold for 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re all dreaming of summer and sunshine right now, but unfortunately summer will not be bringing with it Food Truck Fridays or Movies at the Mill this year,” Monroe Cotton Mills noted. “For the safety of our community, those have been canceled for 2021.”
The post went on to promise to come back with “bigger and better than ever events” for 2022. The plan is to use the extra time for some creative planning.
“When we come back, we plan on coming back so incredible it will take your breath away!!! So hang in there, friends! Make the best of this year. Love on your friends, family, and community. And trust us to have you saying in 2022, ‘It was worth the wait.'”
Disappointing as it may be now, it will be interesting to see what these big plans will bring in 2022.
