Monroe downtown’s first annual Bikes, Trikes and Magical Lights kiddies parade

The area’s littlest residents are invited to assist in the opening of the first annual first annual Walkthrough Christmas lights display in Childer’s Park in Downtown Monroe. On Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, kids are encouraged to decorate their favorite “bike, stroller, wagon or any other favorite set of wheels” to parade through the Christmas lights. The parade will start at 6 p.m. after staging in the parking lot behind the Monroe Library. This event is free of charge and open to kids of all ages.

After the “parade” attendees are invited to walk downtown to shop and dine in the stores that will be open until 8 p.m. Monroe downtown hopes to make this an annual Walkthrough Christmas light display in Childers Park, with each year possibly adding more and more lights!
