Monroe hosts first annual Monroe Blooms Flower Festival Saturday

Spring is now well underway and you can celebrate this amazing time in downtown Monroe Saturday with the first annual Monroe Blooms Flower Festival.

“Beautiful floral displays will be on display throughout downtown. Visit the Monroe Farmers Market for flower and plant sales, planting workshops, demonstrations and more. Try your hand at our floral design competition or enter our floral interpretive art design competition,” Monroe Downtown wrote. “Make sure to stop by the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts to view these amazing creations. Or you may want to register for our Floral Crown, Succulent Jewelry, and Lavender Wand workshops. There will be so much to do, see and smell at this first annual, unique event!”

The event begins at 8:30 p.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon. But you don’t have to rush off. There are unique shops and stores in town to continue shopping and restaurants with a variety of dining options. And you don’t even have to leave then. There are overnight options, including three guest suites at the Eulalia Airbnb right in downtown with a community kitchen with a breakfast nook. Click or tap on this link for more information.
