The Monroe Museum is opening a new exhibit this Saturday featuring the men from Walton County’s history who once served as Georgia governors. In keeping with highlighting much of Walton County’s history during this bicentennial year, the exhibit will remain on display for several months.
The Museum will open with the new exhibit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 28, 2018. In addition, the McDaniel Tichenor House will open during the same hours for free tours and refreshments. The Monroe Museum is located at 227 S. Broad Street in Monroe and the McDaniel-Tichenor House, once home to Gov. Henry McDaniel, is located at 319 McDaniel Street.
