Monroe PD Reports: 7-year-old accused of stealing 4-wheeler

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the the period March 8 – 15, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Lost Property, South Madison Avenue – Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Complainant advised he lost his wallet at Monroe Walmart earlier this date. All credit cards have been canceled.
  • Suspicious Person S Madison Ave. Black male hanging around the stop sign asking for money. Officer had negative contact.
  •  EMS Assist GW Carver Dr., reference to a male intoxicated and on drugs.  Male on location highly intoxicated. Subject was compliant with EMS and declined transport. Turned over to EMS. 
  • Juvenile Complaint East Washington Street at Monroe Post Office in reference to three B/M throwing rocks at cars. Made contact with said males and advised them to return home. Caller did not request report.
  • Domestic Dispute Hubbard St., reference to the complainant’s daughters disputing.
  • Damage to Property at Wheelhouse Lane. Complainant advised someone kicked in her back door while she was home but did not gain entry into her home.
  • Civil Issue Bell Street. Made contact with subjects. Advised them on how to settle their issues.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Alcovy Street in reference to a white truck with a tool box occupied by an older white male failing to maintain lane.
  • Traffic Stop on Mears Street at South Madison Avenue. Conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Andrew Dratwa. Upon further investigation Andrew was arrested for Driving under the influence.. Report taken
  • Meet with Officer Alcovy St., reference to the same white truck failing to maintain lane. Complainant advised the vehicle was a white GMC Sierra occupied by an older with male. The vehicle came from Monroe Golf and Country club and almost struck the complainant. Complainant gave the tag number which came back to a Dodge Stratus. The suspect vehicle went off the road and struck a yellow gas line marker, drove through someone’s yard then left towards Breedlove. Officer made contact with complainant at the Country Club. He was not familiar with the individual and stated there was no property damage at the club. Officers had negative contact with the vehicle.
  • Theft, Jessica Way, contact made with complainant stating her neighbor’s 7-year of age son at Jessica Way stole her children’s Four-wheeler. Four-wheeler was located at another residence on Douglas Street and was returned to complainant. Officer attempted to make contact with 7-year-old but could only contact his parents. Parents were informed of the incident and advised officers they will speak with 7-year-old when he returns home.
  • Dispute Harris St., reference to subjects having a verbal argument.  Spoke to both parties.  No crimes committed.  Report taken.
  • Damage to Property, South Broad St., Complainant stated his vehicle was damaged while being worked on at the Walmart Auto Center. Report taken, remedies advised
  • Suspicious Vehicle Bojangles. Red convertible passenger car unable to maintain lane. Pulled into Bojangles.  Vehicle GOA
  • Unknown Law Quality Foods, Female was sitting in front of Quality Food and told employee she was dying.  Upon Officer arrival she stated she had heart problems.  She was turned over to EMS.
  • Wanted Person Carwood Dr. Complainant stated a wanted person was on location and was wanted out of Walton County. Warrants were confirmed through WCSO, additional warrants were located through MPD for probation violation. Wanted person was not on location after a consent search of the residence was conducted.
  • 911 Hang-Up at Meadowbrook Dr., made contact with mother who advised her kids were playing on the phone.
  • Civil Issue at Church’s Chicken. Complainant called in reference to his cousin hiding his bike. Complainant appeared to have a diminished mental capacity. The bike was located, and all was ok.
  • Illegal Parking Ash Lane/Harris St., Anonymous complainant stated vehicles were blocking the roadway. Several vehicles on location parked as far off the road as able. No impediments to traffic in the area.
  • Suspicious Person at West Marable St. caller advised there were people on scene removing items from the residence. Negative contact with any persons on scene. Dumpster on the property and appears to be under renovation. All ok at this time.
  • Follow Up East Washington Street Apartment.  Officer conducted a traffic stop at Davis Street and Ash Street where it was found underage consumption was taking place at this residence.  Upon further investigation it was confirmed Charquavia Grant was having a party and allowing underage parties to consume alcohol.  While investigating the incident a strong odor of marijuana was coming from within the residence.  The residence was secured, and a search warrant executed.  Multiple cigarettes containing suspected marijuana was located.  Pahyrone Perry was also found on location.  He had active warrants out of Oglethorpe County and taken into custody.  Ms. Grant was also placed in custody.  
  • Damage to Property at Reed Way. Complainant reported her vehicle was struck while parked in front of the residence. Minor damage to the vehicle and caller declined report.
  • Suicide Threats/Escort at Millstone Bluff in reference to female making suicide threats and scratching her wrist. Female was offered a ride to go voluntarily speak to a counselor at Clearview and she agreed. Female was given a ride to Clearview for a Mental evaluation.
  • Domestic Old Mill Point, Subjects were verbally disputing over male always having friends over in the evening. Situation mediated.
  • Counterfeit North Broad St., The manager said a customer had a $50 bill that was fake. The customer who had the bill said she got the money from BB&T.  The $50 bill was taken into evidence. 
  • Welfare Check Carver Place, reference to children screaming inside the house. Contact was made with Tiffany Walker who invited me in the house. The only child on location was an infant. Tiffany’s information was ran and returned showing an active warrant out of Winder PD. Tiffany was taken into custody and turned over to Winder PD.
  • Domestic Dispute at West Marable St., spoke with complainant who stated that her daughter called her to tell her that she was hit by her boyfriend. Complainant’s daughter was not on scene and did not want a report. Report was taken.
  • Harassing Calls Saratoga Drive. Complainant advised an unknown number called her and she answered. An unknown subject named Tyrone advised he was new in the area and his probation officer is making him call his neighbors. Complainant advised she did not wish to speak to him and the subject began trying to flirt on the phone. She advised he then hung up. Complainant was advised of remedies.
  • Dispute Victory Drive in reference to a dispute at Atha Street.  Made contact with subjects.  They both stated they were arguing over dinner. Female was checked by EMS due to a panic attack. Report taken.
  • Damage to property Harris Street.  Complainant left his house at approximately 1100 hours on this date.  When he arrived home at approximately 2200 hours he noticed the front window to his residence had been broken.  It appeared someone was trying to take gain entry into the residence.  Report taken.
  • Traffic stop Davis Street/Pine Park Street Officer observed a vehicle fail to maintain lane.  A traffic stop was attempted and the 21-year-old driver failed to yield.  During the incident a baggy was thrown from the vehicle.  The vehicle turned into South Madison Street.  All occupants were detained.  Broderick Jones was a passenger in the vehicle.  He had an active warrant out of Winder and was taken into custody.  The baggy thrown from the vehicle was located and it contained three smaller baggies of suspected marijuana. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kendivis Chaney.  Mr. Chaney stated the marijuana was his.  He was taken into custody for failure to maintain lane, failure to yield to emergency equipment and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.  The other passenger was released from the scene.
