Monroe PD Reports: Beer bottle thrown through car window while children in back seat

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 17 – 24, 2017. Due to the length of the report, it has been broken into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • EMS Assist, Plaza Dr., complainant advised next door neighbor to call 911 in reference to his hand hurting. Transported by Walton County EMS.
  • Burglary, Heritage Ridge Ct., subject was on location picking up construction equipment from working on location. Everything was ok.
  • Area Check, Monroe Municipal Airport in reference to lasers shining in the sky. Area was check with negative findings, all ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Highway 78 and Unisia Dr., Tractor Trailer stated to have been driving recklessly. Negative contact with Vehicle.
  • Loud Music, Green St., called in by complainant. Met with complainant who advised her neighbors music was loud. I did not hear the music while on scene but advised neighbors to keep it down.
  • Dispute, Highway 78 E/B Waffle House. Contact made with Manager who stated two black females were acting irate and verbally disputing with workers. Suspects gone when officers arrived. Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St at Charolette Rowell. PT Cruiser failure to maintain lane, vehicle was GOA.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy 78 white Escalade failure to maintain lane. negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Ridge Rd., White Chevrolet SUV causing a disturbance on location.  Vehicle was gone when officers arrived and was not located.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Lakeview Dr., in reference to complainant discipling her child and her child wanting to talk to the police. No criminal acts were committed.
  • Dispute, Davis St., Contact made with complainant stating his girlfriend was beating on his door drunk. Girlfriend was gone when officers arrived. Complainant stated everything was fine and declined report. All ok.
  • Pullover / Arrest, Davis St & Pine Park St.  After pulling over the vehicle, the passenger, Christian Scott was found to have a active warrant and was arrested.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr.  Made contact with father who advised his 19-year-old son was cussing at him. The son was GOA and the eviction process was explained.
  • Suspicious Person, Camptown Apartments. Contact made with six juveniles who were on their way home. Suspects were checked, advised of curfew, and sent home. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East church St., reference to 2005 Ford Focus left on the property of complainant, Complainant wanted the vehicle removed he stated it was abandoned. Complainant was advised he could have it towed due to it being on his property.
  • EMS Assist, Green St., reference to a 43-year-old male unconscious and possibly not breathing. Male subject was found to be deceased in his sister’s bed. The 43-year-old male had a history of diabetes and showed a history of drug usage in Spellman. CID responded. Corner responded and took custody of body.
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78 / Unisia Dr., – Robert Bartles pulled over for window tint violation (14%) and display of license plate.  Bartles consented to a search of his vehicle and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Bartles was arrested, fingerprinted and turned over to the Walton County Jail.  His vehicle was impounded by wrecker service.
  • Scam Report, Baker St., complainant receiving messages from a fake Facebook profile under the name which is complainant’s sisters name. The messages stated she was on a list of people to receive $150,000.00 from a group called Social Economic Help Commission. The messages advised complainant she could contact a man by the name of Fred Johnson in reference to receiving the cash. Report declined.
  • Found Property turned in at S. Broad Street in reference to pedestrian finding a wallet on the sidewalk on Broad Street, he approached me in the back-parking lot of the Police Department, there was an ID in the wallet with name and address on N. Broad Street. Attempt was made to contact the owner at the stated address with negative results. The Wallet was submitted into evidence as found property.
  • Harassment, South Bd. St., Johns Supermarket in reference to meeting with complainant. Complainant advised that around 1330 hours this date she was attempting to turn into Johns Supermarket. She stated that behind her were two females honking their horn at her. When she turned into Johns and parked, they pulled in front of her and another vehicle stopped behind her, blocking her in. She said one female got out of her vehicle trying to pick a fight with her. She added that these same two females had shown up to her residence approximately a month ago and jump her and her sister. She stated she had made a police report, but did not have the female’s legal names at that time. She stated all this started over a Facebook post she made that was not directed towards anyone specifically. Complainant was advised of the TPO process.
  • Suspicious Person, South Madison Ave – Shifters in reference to a black male asking for money from everyone who pulled into the parking lot, I spoke with an employee at Shifters who stated he went next door to the convenience store. I spoke with the store owner who stated the subject had already left the scene.
  • Counterfeit, West Creek Cir., reference to male subject and his girlfriend received a fake money order in the mail along with a secret shoppers list of instructions. Male subject stated they received the items in October this year, and knew it was fake. The fake money order, envelope, and instruction papers were all turned over to me to be destroyed, Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute, Tanglewood Drive – Juvenile and Aunt on location in a dispute.  Juvenile turned over to his mother.
  • Domestic Dispute, Lakeview Dr. complainant wanted his ex-wife arrested for stealing his daughter’s phone. Mother stated her daughter was grounded and she took phone away. Phone was given to complainant and report taken
  • Entering auto, E. Tall Oaks Dr. Caller advised multiple subjects breaking into vehicles. Contact made with four juveniles. Juveniles live in subdivision, all ok.
  • Suspicious persons, S. Broad St. Storage, complainant advised named male subject and unknown female living in a storage unit and left prior to arrival. Complainant advised to call back if they return.
  • Dispute, S. Broad St., mother disputing with 17-year-old son about behavior. Situation was mediated, and son advised he would like to go to Clearview. Son was given escort and advised to meet at Clearview due to Son being juvenile.
  • Dispute, N. Broad St. (Deer Acres). Complainant advised there were bed bugs in her room. Staff checked, and no bed bugs found. Complainant left when advised we could not make staff give her money.
  • Suspicious vehicle/person at Tractor Supply, regards to silver Dodge Durango occupied by white female. All ok, woman feeding stray cats in area
  • 911 Hang up call, Mill Stone Bluff, two subjects were fighting over shoes. Both parties declined report. Report taken due to no adults on scene and several small children at residence. According to juveniles, adults were partying.
  • Discharging firearms, Birch St., regards to anonymous caller stating they heard 3 gunshots. All surrounding areas checked, and no shots were heard.
  • Prowler report, Magnolia Terr., regards to named male subject knocking on complainant’s back door. Subject was gone prior to arrival. An area check was done on foot w/ negative contact.
  • Domestic dispute, Magnolia Terr. Between two subjects. Actual civil dispute over property due to couple splitting up but not residing together. One subject retrieved clothes and was transported to Lacy St., all ok.
  • EMS assist, Sweetgum Dr., regards to resident fallen inside residence and could not get up. Forced entry made and resident was assisted by EMS. Family notified and arrived on scene to render care. Report taken due to forced entry
  • Accident with unknown injuries on Bold Springs Ave. involving two vehicles. Jaurdon Fisher DUI and struck parked vehicle. Fisher arrested, and owner of struck vehicle arrived on scene. Fisher’s vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Theft Report, Alcovy St., employee advised someone broke the window of the maintenance shop. Nothing appeared to be missing. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop, 6th St., Donald Montgomery was found to have a probation violation warrant through Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Donald resisted arrest and was tased. He was then taken into custody for the probation violation warrant and also charged with disorderly conduct. Use of Force report completed.
  • Civil Dispute, South Broad St., complainant had questions about the eviction process. Eviction process explained. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Spring St., Reference to a female sleeping inside of a Jeep. All ok.
  • Dispute, Nowell St., male and female subjects were verbally disputing. Parties were separated. Report taken.
  • Shoplifting, North Broad St., Store clerk stated three black males took a can of Steel Reserve, and a bag of chips out of the store without paying.  Officer patrolled the area, and also checked surrounding businesses on foot.  Negative contact with subjects. Report taken.
  • Burglary, Tanglewood Dr., Marqueshia Coats reported her residence was entered through the back door sometime between 1900 hours on 11/24/2017, and 1600 hours this date.  A 55-inch Samsung television, 32-inch television, and a size 6 pair of Nike Air Force shoes were taken from the residence.  No serial number information provided.  A follow up was conducted on Tanglewood Drive. Male subject spoke to at one apt. on Tanglewood Drive in reference to having shoes on similar to those that were taken.  Information listed in the report.  Report taken.
  • Damage to Property, West Spring St., complainant advised an unknown vehicle struck her 2005 Acura TL in the parking lot of Waffle House on 11/23/2017.  Report requested for insurance purposes.  Location of accident is out of camera view.
  • Damage to Property, Page St. and Davis St., male subject threw a beer bottle through complainant’s back window. Complainants children were in the vehicle and it busted the glass. WTBT cruelty to child X2, criminal trespass.
