Monroe PD Reports: Child injured in pedestrian accident, man jumps from moving car during domestic dispute

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 12 – 25, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into seven parts. This is the sixth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Agency Assist at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Detective with Covington PD requested an escort to Glen Iris Drive in reference to speaking with subject over stolen property.
  • Harassment at East Fambrough Street. Complainant had questions about being harassed. Advised of remedies.
  • Area Check at Wheel House Lane. The complainant advised of seeing juveniles entering this residence last date through an open window. Officers were unable to gain access through the window and both doors were locked. All appeared ok at this time.
  • Dispute at Bankers Blvd. Dispute with former employee over not receiving her separation paperwork. The employer provided the paperwork and the subject left.
  • Hit & Run at the All-star Gas Station. White pickup truck struck the rear of a Chrysler 300 and fled the scene. Turned over t Georgia State Patrol.
  • Fraud report taken at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Complainant advised someone is fraudulently using male’s debit card. She was advised of have the male file incident report in Madison.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of South Broad Street and Vine Street – Green 3500 Dodge Pickup truck with female screaming in passenger seat. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Juvenile Complaint on Walker Drive in reference juvenile being unruly and taken to hospital due to anger issues
  • Traffic Crash with Pedestrian in front of Baron Drive. 8-year-old male juvenile ran out into roadway and struck the side of a trailer, pulled by a pickup truck. Juvenile transported to Clearview by EMS.
  • Trespassing complaint at Felker Street.  Complainant wanted police to speak to neighbors about crossing through her back yard.  She’s afraid they might be attacked by her dog  .       Spoke to the neighbors and advised them not to trespass.
  • Welfare Check at Bold Springs Ave.  Father called daughter stating he needed help.  Father was ok.  Mower was having issues.
  • Suspicious Vehicle behind the Chevron On West Spring Street.  Made contact with the owner by telephone stated he left the vehicle at the location and everything is ok.  Will pick up the vehicle later.
  • Fraud at Walgreens Pharmacy in reference to a white female in a pink tank top on location trying to pick up a fraudulent prescription.  Made contact with female who was trying to pick up a fake prescription under a false name.  Report was by officer on 5/12/2017 for fake prescription.  Erica’s legal last name is Garrett.  Arrested for attempting to obtain a Fraudulent prescription, false name, Walton County Sheriff’s Office probation warrant and Barrow County contempt of court warrant.
  • Fire Assist at Camptown Garden.  Caller stated smoke coming from a building.  Upon arrival no fire was found or smoke turned scene over to Monroe Fire.
  • Trash Dumping on Magnolia Street.  Trash was dumped on Magnolia Street with a truck leaving towards Harris Street.  Tag not on file.  Trash found across the street from Magnolia       S   Street.  Negative contact with the truck.
  • Animal Complaint at Walker Drive in reference to animal welfare.  Advised animal control also told them to contact Animal Control if they see further violation.
  • Entering Auto at Glen Iris at G and R muffler.  Drove up on a black male with dark grey hoodie entering a vehicle.  The male ran into the woods.  Unable to locate the male.
  • Domestic at Baron Drive.  Verbal argument between partied.  Complainant advised subject put a dent in the back door trying to get back inside the house.  He also stated to her that he wanted to kill himself.  Subject given a ride to Clearview for a mental health evaluation.
  • Assist Citizen at East Fambrough Street.  Complainant wanted to talk to officers about the issues with Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and Lilburn Police Department.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Felker Park advised them they needed to leave the park.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Mathews Park located a marijuana pipe in plain view, owner walked up to the vehicle.  Amanda Bryson arrested for marijuana poss less than 1 ounce.  Released on copy.
  • Domestic at South Broad Street.  Subjects in a verbal argument over vehicle.  Subjects advised they would stop and go to bed.
  • 911 Hang up at East Marable street.  Called back and needed a medical unit.  Turned over to Walton County EMS.
  • Harassing Phone Calls at Lakeview Drive in reference to subject getting voice mail messages.  Everything ok on location.
  • Damage to property that occurred at midnight this date.  Wife stated her husband threw a plastic chair at the vehicle causing damage.  She wanted a documentation report.
  • Prowler at Meadow Trace.  Complainant stated she heard juvenile voices outside her residence and possible tampering with her windows.  Area checked negative contact.
  • Unsecured premise at Bold Springs Ave.  Several unsecured door located.  Building cleared.
  • Suspicious person at North Broad Street, Male walking down town.  Said he lives on South Broad Street and his care taker lets him walk.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Clearview Regional Medical Center. Caller advised an intoxicated subject left the hospital in a gray passenger vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Domestic Dispute on Nowell Street. Caller advised subjects disputing in roadway. Area checked with negative contact with anyone disputing.
  • Dispute discussed at South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Complainant advised Arnold Properties discriminated against her. She was advised to contact BBI
  • Theft at Peters & Foster. Complainant advised an unknown person took a sofa and love seat from the tent in the parking lot. Brian did not know the brand of the sofa or love seat. Extra patrol requested.
  • Dispute at South Broad Street. Roommate’s verbally disputing over the condition of the house. Parties separated and report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on West Spring Street in reference to a black Honda driving reckless. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop on Pine Park Street at Davis Street. Keleem Jackson arrested on active Simple Assault warrant out of Barrow County. Subject transported to county line and TOT Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Domestic Dispute at Pine Park Street. Roommates were disputing over living arrangements. Female had visible marks on her face but would not admit to male causing them.
  • Domestic Dispute at 4th Street. Subjects in verbal dispute over their relationship status. No physical contact made, just verbal. Parties separated
  • Warrant Service at Walton County Animal Control. Tracey Martinez arrested for outstanding warrant through the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Follow-Up at Dollar General on South Broad Street. Workers recognized male as a suspect to a previous theft in the store. Male left the store prior to officer arrival, but was later spotted walking down South Broad Street near 6th Street. Male had an active probation warrant for his arrest out of Loganville. He was arrested and taken to Walton County Jail.
  • Harassment complainant taken at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Female advised she has video recordings of a guy who she’s doing surveillance on. Subject was advised to email recording
  • Dispute at Taylor’s Wrecker Service. Male disputing with staff over a vehicle. Another male arrived on scene and the situation was resolved.
  • Harassment at Maple Lane. Subject complaining of his neighbor continually calling him if he refused to take her to the store. Contact was made with neighbor and she agreed not to call him anymore.
  • Domestic problem discussed at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Subject had questions about taking pictures of her children father new boat in his yard and wanted police to take picture for her. She was advised of the civil issues and law enforcement doesn’t get involved
  • EMS Assist at Sycamore Court in reference to female having a mental episode. She was given a courtesy escort to the hospital for an evaluation.
  • Juvenile Complaint Cook Place. Juvenile disputing in parking lot. Contact made with all juveniles and advised to stay away from each other.
  • Welfare Check at Westridge. Clearview Regional Medical Center requested the welfare of a juvenile that was brought in last week for a burn. The hospital staff advised the father took the child for treatment at another facility. Location checked with negative contact.
  • Juvenile Complaint at East Washington Street in reference to her daughter having a bad attitude and talking back to mother.  Mom wanted officers to talk to the child.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Jack Peters on East Church Street in reference to son taking car keys from his mother.  Mother advised her son took her keys out of the ignition and would not give them back while at Jack Peters.  She went into the store and bought some items.  When she came back out, son tried to snatch her debit card and bag of merchandise out of her hands.  Car keys were recovered by mother.  Son was gone on foot.  Attempted to contact son’s juvenile intake officer with negative contact.
  • Dispute at Knight Street in reference Complainant not wanting female staying at the location anymore she was only supposed to stay a few nights.  Been at the location for a week.  Female left without being told too.
  • EMS assists at the Rite Aid.  Subject on location possibly on prescription medication.  Provided a ride to his residence on Gratis Road.
  • 911 Hang Up at Clearview.  Patient wanted to be transported by EMS to another hospital due to Clearview being backed up.  EMS advised all hospitals in the area are backed up and being told to take people to Clearview.
  • Welfare Check at South Broad Street in reference to a white male wanting a ride to Ridgeview.  Negative contact made with anyone on location.
  • Civil Issue at South Broad Street, Roommate’s arguing over use of vehicle. I advised that it would be a civil matter.  Male also very intoxicated.
  • Domestic at Breedlove Drive near Breedlove Court.  Vehicle in a ditch.  Male jumped out of a moving vehicle causing female to drive off the roadway.  No damage.  Male stated female was hitting him and believed she was going to kill their dog.  Female said male grabbed her and was trying to force the vehicle in park while she was driving.  Male was transported to Clearview by Med 1.
  • Traffic Stop at Bankers Blvd / West Spring Street.  Janelle Lohnes arrest for driving while license was suspended, and headlight requirements
  • Suspicious Person at Wheel house Lane, White male banging on complainants door.  Complainant on location stated the male left in a green ford ranger.  He stated it was the second time that this has happened requested extra patrol for the night.
  • Entering auto, Douglas St. Occurred between 2200 and 0540, wallet w/ cash, 20v Dewalt drill, 10K gold diamond wedding ring, SS card and passport taken.
  • Agency assist, Parkway Pl. DA’s office trying to serve subpoena. Refused to answer door. Officer advised of dog on location in poor living conditions. After waiting up the street Subject left the house and was chased. Subpoena served and advised what would happen if she didn’t go to court. Advised of animal cruelty laws.
  • Medical call, East Fambrough St., complainant requested police to call her doctor. to ask for more medication but refused EMS treatment four times and refused a ride to Clearview, all 10-4.
