Monroe PD Reports: Domestic disputes, damage to property dominate

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between April 7 – 13, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, West Marable St., mother advised son was causing disturbance and intoxicated. Mother was also intoxicated and refused to cooperate with officers, all ok.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., McDonalds, customer disputing with staff. Customer GOA, all ok.
  • Theft, Storehouse Court – Complainant was highly intoxicated but stated her live in boyfriend stole her dresses. He stated he had not touched the dresses and had no idea where they were at. The complainant refused to cooperate once officer stated he would not take boyfriend to jail without proper evidence. Complainant went inside residence and closed the door.
  • Found Property, Maple Way – complainant advised she found a wallet on her porch. After advising who the wallet belonged to, she advised that the subject just left her residence and that she would return the wallet.
  • Domestic problem, West Creek Circle – mother wanted police on location while her son, retrieved his property.  Some property was obtained.
  • Dispute, Magnolia Terrace – male and female subjects in verbal dispute.  One subject was GOA prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Loud Music, Chestnut Lane – Advised to turn music down.
  • 911 hang up, West Creek Circle – complainant wanted to get more items from inside the residence.  Complainant retrieved all items from inside that were his and advised civil process on any other items.
  • Welfare Check, East Spring Street (Autozone) – Reference to kids in a vehicle and unsure if the vehicle was on.  Upon officer arrival, the kids were removed from the vehicle.
  • Subject with firearms/Threats/chase in progress/arrested, Baron Drive – complainant said Taheem Washington threatened to shoot him and brandished a gun.  Washington gave consent to search residence and vehicle. Washington ran from officer.  Officer tased and secured him into handcuffs.  EMS arrived to assess Washington who refused treatment.  Washington arrested for Terroristic Threats/Acts, Aggravated Assault, and Obstruction of LEO.
  • Dispute, West Spring Street (Wal-Mart) – Before officers could arrive, they called back to advise parties were separated. All ok.
  • Animal complaint, Magnolia Terr. Comp advised pit bulls were chasing kids. Dogs belonged to Magnolia St. No animals were out, owner advised kids accidentely let them out, not vicious. Actual dogs were pit bull puppy and Chihuahua.
  • Assault report, Green St., complainant stated girlfriend jumped her after they broke up. Visible marks on neck, Lawson GOA
  • Suspicious vehicle, Mayfield Dr. Comp advised of aggressive white male driver. Officer was running traffic for 20 min on Mayfield while call came out. Negative contact.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle, East Spring St. and Fast Auto Sales. David Harris arrested for Poss of firearm by felon, driving while license suspended, open container, no insurance, attempt to conceal/misrepresent vehicle, unregistered vehicle, and a MPD probation warrants.
  • Suspicious person, Pine Knoll St. Complainant stated an unknown person removed his truck tire, put it back on and left on foot in a newer model white Nissan. Complainant has medical issues. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious person, North Broad St., Golden Pantry. Comp advised that driver looked intoxicated and came into the store and bought more alcohol. Vehicle stopped at North Broad near Friendship Church Rd. Steven Nichols arrested for DUI (.196 transported to LPD for intox), and FTML.
  • Domestic problem, Pine Park St., complainant said named subject came and knocked in his door. Did not want to prosecute. Subject transported to Clearview for medical treatment.
  • Assault report, West Spring St., Clearview Medical. Complainant wanted to talk to an Officer, same incident as last night’s fight in Gatewood.
  • Damage to property, Lanius St., complainant came out to smoke a cigar and noticed his tire was slashed, possibly neighborhood kids.
  • Domestic problem, Ford St., complainant said named male subject came into her house and hit her with a hammer, no visible injuries. Male subject has several 2warrants and left the scene in a black Nissan. Nissan located on Perry St. Consent to search both apartments with negative contact.
  • Officer’s called to WCSO lobby in regards to 16-yar-old juvenile admitting to breaking window in city. Contact made w/juvenile who broke window at Peters and Fosters. Juvenile given escort to Clearview due to medical issues.
  • Damage to property, E. Washington St. (Peters & Fosters) Manager given info from call officer had earlier w/ male subject. All ok.
  • Damage to property report taken at MPD lobby. Complainant stated her upset neighbor possibly keyed her vehicle in Radford Park over the weekend. Report taken.
  • Suspicious vehicle on Hwy 78W towards city in regards to older white sedan unable to maintain lane. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks Dr. between two females over property. One female got property and left residence, all ok.
  • Damage to property, Green St., complainant stated someone damaged her 1998 Ford Mustang. Complainant not sure when or where it happened and complainant has been in Loganville today, report taken.
