Monroe PD Reports: Domestic disputes dominate; man wants police to make neighbor talk to him

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between April 1 – 6, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Domestic problem on Vine St.; husband and wife in verbal argument over which one leaves the residence, given options, situation mediated.
  • Missing Person, Baron Dr.,  male subject reported missing for two days, BOLO put out, few hours later subject was located, report made.
  • Domestic problem on Douglas Street; complainant wanted the police to make his neighbor talk to him, advised this was not a police matter.
  • 911 Hang-up, E. Marable Street; Elderly female wanting to leave personal care home, advised to contact her family due to her condition. All ok.
  • Damage to Property, High School Ave; Comp advised that someone was messing with a parked vehicle belonging to a reservist from the National Guard unit, vehicle appeared ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle @ Old Carver School Booth Drive; Unknown vehicle parked on the track, negative contact.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle, N. Broad Street/Waffle House; Driver cited for Possession of Marijuana after searching the vehicle due to odor, warned for taillight lens requirements.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Hampton Drive; Gray Dodge Caliber on location, driver was “talking” with another subject.  Both were identified and advised to leave.
  • Emergency Message; Wellington Drive; patient at Clearview was becoming terminal, attempted to make contact, negative at the residence.
  • Domestic problem on 4th Street; female’s family attempted to get her to come home, residents advised about interference with custody, female returned to her family that live in New Bern.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Walton Truck Stop; Comp advised a silver car had subjects entering the truck stop that were intoxicated, had 38-D, staff at truck stop had no knowledge, negative contact.
  • Armed robbery, Government building on S. Hammond Dr., complainant stated he was robbed (strong-arm) while walking on S. Hammond Dr. near Felker Park by a 24 YOA W/M with bald head, wearing blue jeans, blue jacket, and book bag who asked for 4 packs of cigarettes but only took 1 pack from construction vest complainant was wearing. W/M did not take cell phone or Bluetooth speaker that was on complainant. Complainant did not call 911 but told deputy at Gov. building. CID notified, report taken
  • Suspicious Vehicle Golden Pantry in regards to orange Honda Civic occupied by 3 males who appeared to be on 38D. Arrived on scene and vehicle was GOA.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy 138 towards city limits in regards to white VW sedan, unable to maintain lane. Contact made @ Valero on Hwy 138 and Michael Etchison Rd., driver ok.
  • Unknown, W. Spring St. (McDonald’s) in regards to W/M passed out in bathroom stall. All ok, contact made w/ male subject who advised he was homeless and was resting in stall while it was storming. Manager allowed subject to stay on location
  • Dispute, Radford St. between complainant and residents. Complainant advised stepdaughter was being abused by her boyfriend. Stepdaughter denied any kind of abuse and no signs were present. Step daughter requested information on TPO process against complainant.
  • Damage to property @ MPD lobby. Complainant advised he has some damage to his vehicle but no idea where the damage occurred. Complainant lives in the county and was referred to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Domestic problem, Car Wash on S. Broad St. across from 5th St. in regards to male and female fighting or arguing. Contact made w/ female who stated her baby’s father followed her from Landers St. and upset because she’s moving out. Baby’s father allegedly grabbed her by the arm and took child from her. Baby’s father then dropped child off back at female’s mother’s residence unharmed. No visible injury on female, report taken.
  • Entering Auto, Victory Drive.  Victim stated named male subject slept in her car last month.  Victim stated she just realized her $700 radio was missing.  Spoke to subject via telephone who denied taking it
  • Domestic, Landers St., complainant  had question about how to stop his wife from bringing over “Guest” to the residence due to them wanting to get a divorce.  Gave him advice and pointed him to the court house for further assistance.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Drive.  Unknown victim stated that she was attacked by named female subject and two other females.  Made contact with female subject at that address but she stated she did not get into a fight.  Victim never arrived and unable to contact them to get further.  Another female on location with a suspended driver’s license serviced with a suspension notice and license was taken.
  • Agency Assist, Carver Drive in reference to DFACS wanted to make contact with the residence on Carver Drive.  Complaint stated mother was doing drugs around her kids.  Negative contact with anyone at the residence.
  • Suspicious Vehicles, West Spring Street (Family Dollar) reference a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot.  Complainant advised the vehicle left prior to police arrival.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring Street (McDonalds) homeless person found sleeping in the bathroom.  Larry Criswell was intoxicated and blew a .215 in the handheld Alco-sensor.  Criswell arrested for public drunk.
  • Traffic Stop at Bell Street and Davis Street in reference to James Smith arrest on outstanding warrants after running from a traffic stop.  Smith was tased.  Additional warrants to be taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Madison Ave (Felker Park).  Person was waiting on a friend and was advised to leave the park.
  • Suspicious Person at Walton Road / East Marable street in reference to subject to being out past curfew.  Subject attempted to leave and the officer detained him and charged him with Obstruction.
  • Assisted Citizen at Waffle House on West Spring street transported subject to his residence.
  • Domestic, Felker Street in reference to possible abusive husband finding out where female subject now lives.  Report done for documentation.
  • Damage to property, E. Spring St. (Sunshine Laundry) in regards to attempted break in of change machine. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, towards city in regards to “black turbo truck” unable to maintain lane, Negative contact w/ any vehicle matching description.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy 11 SB towards city, blue Chevy Suburban speeding/reckless. Area checked w/ negative contact.
  • Officer’s called to Alcovy St. in regards to wife wanting to know what she could do about her husband going to beach without her and kids after husband found out she was cheating on him. Civil process explained.
  • Civil issue, W. Marable St., complainant wanted to get his bed back from neighbor he sold it to. Advised of civil process.
  • Damage to property, King St., complainant had questions about hail hitting his vehicle last night, all ok.
  • Threats report taken at MPD lobby. Complainant advised the father of her daughter’s children harasses her and threatened her with a baseball bat. Attempted to make contact w/ male subject at Meadow Court, negative contact. No threats were made per other subjects on location.\Officer’s called to MPD in regards to civil issue. Complainant had questions regarding eviction process, all ok.
  • Damage to property @ Longhorn’s. Complainant stated noticed damage to her vehicle when she walked out of Longhorn’s, Second party arrived and advised his door was blown open by wind. Subjects exchanged information.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Gatewood Dr. in regards to white Chevy Monte Carlo speeding/reckless through neighborhood. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Theft, W. Creek Circle. Nicole Vinson stated TV stolen and someone advised her that the TV was seen in the woods but could not provide which woods.
  • Check for wanted person, Tanglewood Dr. in regards to subject possibly at residence w/ warrants out of New Jersey for FTA and full extradition. Consent to search granted and negative contact.
  • Arrest, S. Madison Ave. (Southeast Corrections) Clarissa Shields arrested for Probation Violation and shoplifting warrants out of Barrow County.
  • Unknown, Roosevelt St., once on scene, complainant advised subject with medical issues was on location and would not leave. Subject was GOA once police were called, verbal only all ok.
  • Dispute, Booth Dr. between roommates over living together. Female gathered belongings and left residence. All ok.
  • Dispute, Atha St. in regards to 24 YOA son stated his mother was being mean to him and he wanted to leave. Son left scene, all ok.
  • Dispute, Booth Drive between two subjects.  Parties separated for the night.
  • Dispute, Hwy 78 (Marathon) Subject was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
  • Domestic, Carwood Dr., two subjects arguing over car keys.  Situation was mediated and parties separated for the night.
  • Domestic, Creekview Dr., mother had question about getting her son into a rehab.  Son was not on scene at the time of arrival.
  • Domestic, Carwood Drive in reference to Juvenile Justice calling for a welfare check on Carwood Drive.  Made contact with two female subject’s saying male subject was acting out again.  Nothing physical claim just yelling and screaming.
  • Suspicious Person, Bryant Road, complainant said she saw a white female in her back yard.  I checked the yard with no contact. Complainant stated nothing was missing and requested extra patrol for the night.
  • Wanted Person / Agency Assist Walton County Sheriff Office looking for a wanted person out of Sandy Springs at Gatewood Way.  Negative contact with the person.
  • Follow up, Carwood Drive.  Male subject intoxicated and worried about his stuff at mother’s house.   Advised him to go sleep it off and contact his mother in the morning.
  • Suspicious Activity, East Washington St., complainant said her plastic porch chair was moved and believed someone moved it possibly weather related wind.  She requested extra patrol for the night.
  • Traffic Stop, Glen Iris Travis Malcom was arrested for driving while license suspended.  The car was picked up by his sister.  Malcom was released on copy after finger printing.
  • Domestic, Nowell St., between male and female subject’s.  Female stated male choked and beat her.  After gathering information from male, he advised they both were pushing and grabbing each other.  Both parties were separated.  Unable to determine primary aggressor and conflicting stories.  Parties were separated.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., male subject was attacking his girlfriend kid and the neighbors came to rescue the kid at the girlfriend request.  That is when male subject attacked neighbor. Warrants to be taken
