Monroe PD Reports: Entering auto complaint with claims of invisible people

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 12 – 25, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the fifth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Disturbing the peace at East Church Street/ Baron Drive.  Complainant said vehicles playing loud music.  No noise heard.
  • Disturbing the peace at Baron Drive.  Broke up large party.
  • EMS assist at East Washington.  Complainant had leg pain and needed to go to hospital.  Neighbor watched after kids while she was transported by EMS.
  • Dispute at Felker Street reference two subjects fighting.  Upon arrival one subject had left the scene.  Other subject given a ride home.
  • Domestic at Baron Drive reference to subjects fighting one subject being irritating and wanting him out of the house.  Officers advised we could not force him to leave.
  • Dispute, Birch St., Subject on location refusing to leave.  Subject left the residence without incident.  All OK.
  • Mayfield, Plaza, Richard Fleeman arrested for driving while license suspended
  • Dispute, Taylor’s, Owner and customer in a dispute over impound.  Mediated.  All OK.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., Altercation between mother and her two adult children.  Son was gone when officer arrived.  Daughter left after situation was mediated.  All ok.
  • Theft, N. Midland Ave., Female requested extra patrol due to someone taking two of her plastic lawn chairs.
  • Debris in roadway Hwy 78 / Southview Dr., Complainant advised that there was debris in the roadway.  Roadway cleared.  All OK.
  • Burglary in progress, Norris St., Residence was cleared.  Possibly squatters staying in vacant residence.  Unable to secure back door due to it having no locks.  All OK.
  • Suspicious package, the Post Office, Complainant advised that she saw a box behind the locked doors and thought it was suspicious.  Box contained donated cans of dog food for a charity.  All OK.
  • Suspicious subjects, WalMart / 2050 W. Spring St., Ref: Hispanic couple and two children begging for money.  Negative contact.
  • Burglary in progress Old Mill Run, Ref: complainant advised that 4 black male juveniles entered her residence then fled on foot when she confronted them.  Juveniles ran towards Felker Park.  Negative contact.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Southview Dr., Ref: 11-year-old female being unruly.  All OK.
  • Dispute, W. Creek Circle, Complainant advised that two subjects hit him.  Complainant had tried having sex with his own niece, which started the confrontation.  Conflicting stories.  Mediated.
  • Dispute, Taylor’s Wrecker Service, Situation mediated.  All OK.
  • Shoplifting, Family Dollar, Clerk advised that four black females were acting very suspicious and she believed that one stole panties and bras.  Negative contact.
  • Welfare Check, area of N. Midland & Marable, Ref: elderly female calling and second party advising all was ok and hung up.  Phase 2 showed location at N. Midland & Marable.  All checked OK.
  • Burglary, Norris St., Ref: 2 white males on location taking property.  Negative contact with anyone on location.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of North Broad Street at the city limits. Caller advised there was an unrestrained child in the vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Walker Drive near South Broad Street in reference to a black Ford Focus, speeding. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute at Metro PCS. Complainant advised an employee at the store was texting someone while helping her, being rude.
  • 911 Hang-up at Overlook Crest. Made contact with female who stated her small child accidentally called 911.
  • Fight in the area of Lakeview Street and Park Lake Court .Caller advised approximately ten (10) subjects were fighting and had weapons. Upon arrival officer’s learned there was never a fight, but simply an argument with a neighbor. Scene turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Suspicious Person at Scoops Ice Cream. Robert Pittman soliciting customers for money. Officer made contact with Pittman at Sherwin Williams and subject had an active warrant out of Duluth P.D. Arrested and taken to WCSO
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Highway 78, westbound. Caller advised the vehicle was speeding. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Noise Complaint Bridgeport Place. Caller from 6th Street advised they could loud music from Bridgeport. Contact made with homeowner who advised they would turn down the music.
  • Physical Dispute at Stokes Street in reference to Female, who was assaulted by female. Warrants to be taken for Battery.
  • Theft at Harris St.,  Complainant wanted his bike back from a male who was extremely intoxicated. The bike was retrieved.
  • Noise Complaint in the area of Baron Drive and Eagles Trail. The tenant was advised of the noise ordinance and they shut the party down.
  • Domestic at Douglas Street in reference to female wanting to grab items from her house.
  • Noise Complaint at Bridgeport Lane in reference to earlier party. Homeowner advised to shut down the party.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of Radford Street and the Railroad Tracks. Caller advised subjects were walking on the RR tracks. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Discharging Firearms in the area of Tanglewood Drive. Caller advised he heard approximately five (5) shots. Area checked with negative contact with anyone or shell casings.
  • Traffic Stop on North Broad Street. Michele Howard arrested for driving without a license. Subject fingerprinted and released on copy of citation.
  • Suspicious Person on Radford Street. Complainant advised of possible drug activity on Radford Street with all the foot and vehicular traffic.
  • Suspicious Person at the Chevron on South Broad Street/Atha Street. Male going through clothing donation box, changing clothes.
  • Unknown Problem at Claywill Circle in reference to a possible dispute. Contact made with two subjects, who advised they did not call and everything was fine.
  • Warrant Service at the Athens-Clarke County Detention Center. Dernarious Wiley arrested by ACCPD for MPD probation violation. Subject picked up and taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Missing Person at Tall Oaks West in reference to juvenile running away again. The mother advised he will run away often. Child to be placed onto GCIC as a runaway.
  • Domestic at West Creek Circle. Subjects on location verbally disputing. Party’s separated for the rest of the morning.
  • Entering Auto at Green Street. Complainant on location. His vehicle was secure and he was making claims to see invisible people.
  • Follow up Green St. Homeowner advised subject must have called from a different location because they were all OK and did not request police.
  • Noise complaint Comp advised of dog barking in the area of 6th Street and Barret St. Dog barking located at 4th St. Owners advised they’d bring dog inside.
  • Suspicious person in the area of Belle Meade and Alcovy. B/m walking in the area with a trash bag. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Dispute Mable St. Complainant disputing with sibling over what to do with their elderly mother when he goes back to jail. Sibling gone when officers arrived, all OK.
  • Lost item report 2050 West Spring St., Wal-Mart. Complainant laid cell phone down and had it stolen. Someone named “Martin” answered the phone. Phone placed onto GCIC.
  • Unknown law East Washington St. Complainant advised someone from a Large white sedan shot at him while he rode his bike on Wall St. near Church. Complainant was found to be a missing juvenile on GCIC and later advised being shot at was a lie. Removed from GCIC, supplemental to officer’s runaway case from last night to be added.
  • Dispute Elm Dr. Verbal dispute called in 3rd party. Austen Howard had multiple warrants from three different agencies. Arrested and transported to the WCSO.
  • Missing person West Spring St., Haven Inn. Complainant said she is in Walton county because Gwinnett is after her for being an informant and having evidence for officers in Gwinnett. Complainant hired male subject for security and said she met him yesterday through a mutual friend. Advised male took her money, report declined.
  • Theft report taken at 116 South Broad St., MPD. Complainant reports his mom’s CNA stealing medication while working at 3rd St. He has videos of her digging through mothers belongings.
  • Unknown law West Spring St., Childers Park. Female advised there was a homeless person sleeping in the park. Dispatch advised she found a body wrapped in thick clothing near the dog park. Contact made with male who was sleeping on a bench, advised of park closing time and loitering.
  • Wanted person ready for pick up from Hall County SO. Harold Gibbs transported from HCSO to WCSO.
  • Entering auto Glenn Iris Dr. Complainant advised Ruger .380 stolen out of unlocked vehicle.
  • Traffic stop Hammond Dr. and Georgia Ave. Passenger Kieonia Early arrested for Newton County warrant.
  • Dispute West Spring St., McDonalds. Parties disputing over McDonald’s delivery truck boxing in vehicle. All parties GOA.
  • Theft report East Spring St. Coin Laundry. Owner advised officer dropped off female on 23 Apr 2017 and when she finished her laundry she stole a buggy. Owner advised no video buy a witness that is a regular customer advised him what happened.  Owner will call back when he has witness info.
  • Suspicious person Bold Springs Ave., old Monroe Elementary School. Comp advised of W/m, no shirt, carrying a backpack walking around building attempting to gain entry. Contact made with male and he was sent on his way.
  • Suspicious person Walker Dr. Ref to b/m sitting on the sewer lines. Contact made with male who was waiting on a ride, all OK.
  • Suspicious vehicle Highway 11 North into the city. Pick up towing trailer fishtailing and failing to maintain lane. WCSO made contact with the vehicle at Tractor Supply, all OK.
  • WCSO recovered a stolen vehicle off Jim Daws Rd past Harry Arnold. Vehicle taken to Taylor’s for processing by CID on Monday.
  • Follow up MLK Jr. Blvd., Tractor Supply. Met with second party of dispute from Etten Dr., Tabitha Smith arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Lost dog at Green St. in regards to missing Chihuahua. Dog was recovered from kids on Green St. All ok.
  • Unknown law at Birch St., Mother verbally disputing w/ her 42 and 39 year old kids on location. Parties separated, all OK.
  • Civil issue All-Star on N. Broad St., Female needing information on eviction process, all OK.
  • Assault, Fambrough St. in regards to male assaulted by unknown male that goes by named subject Male advised he didn’t want a report or press charges. Male had injuries but refused EMS.
  • Theft at Green St. in regards to juvenile stated her purple and green BMX bike was stolen by juvenile B/M checked area w/ negative contact. Report declined and no serial number.
  • Suspicious on Hwy 78 EB towards city, called in by WCSO. Vehicle out of city by time MPD could make it to area.
  • Dispute at 3rd St. Complainant got punched in face by male. 3rd party person was on scene as well. Both subjects have active warrants. Additional warrants taken for battery.
  • Animal complaint at Davis St. in regards to loose dog that scratched a child. Contact made w/ dog owner and advised to keep animal contained, child was fine.
  • Threats at Lakeview Dr. in regards to Complainant advising two subjects “hit” out on her.
  • Drugs at Bridgeport Pl. in regards to juvenile smoked marijuana and parents found more marijuana in room.  Marijuana was turned over to officer and juvenile complaint taken.
  • Unknown Lakeview Dr. in regards to female having suspicious property in her kid’s bedroom. All OK.
  • Welfare check at Mill St. in regards to caller advising subject on location and using drugs. Contact was made and all was ok.
  • Suspicious person at Pine Park St. in regards to B/M wearing all black knocking on door. Contact made w/ male  who resides at apartment and was knocking on door due to not    having key. Roommate let male in.
  • Dispute at East Church Street – Chevron. Subject disputing with staff over $10 of gas that he claimed he paid for. Unable to review video to determine if gas was paid for or not. Subject was advised to return and speak with store owner.
  • Suspicious Person at Checkers. Caller advised a black female with purple hair was disputing with a male on location. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute at Mayfield Drive – Peace State Recycling. Former employee disputing with owner over damage to a vehicle. Situation mediated.
  • Follow-Up at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Husband provided more information regarding an incident from late date resulting in his wife arrest. Supplemental to original report.
  • Found Property at Birch Street. Male found a bag full of medication. Several attempts were made to locate owner but was unsuccessful. The items were placed into evidence at the Monroe Police Department.
  • Burglary Report at South Madison Avenue – Hands of Thyme. Complainant advised someone entered the business between 2pm on Saturday and 10am this date. A boom box, Bluetooth speaker, clock radio and old cell phone were taken.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of John’s Supermarket. Caller advised the subject was a white male carrying a weed eater and chain saw. Contact made with subject who was taking the items to B&B small engine repair for maintenance.
