Monroe PD Reports: Fight at restaurant between employees; dispute at another over food

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 15 – 22, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Assault, Green St., Passerby stating they observed a black male choking a white female in a grey in color Honda at the listed residence. Contact was made with male and female subjects. Both parties denied any type of assault occurred and no signs of assault could be observed.
  • Disturbing the Peace, Green St., Dispute between neighbors over loud noise coming from child’s drum set.  Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Subjects, East Spring St. (Spring Street Laundry), reference to male and female subjects being on location.  The owner requested that the two be served with criminal trespass warning.  Parties served and left the property.
  • Dispute at Bojangles, reference to a dispute over food. Situation mediated, parties separated.
  • Civil Issue, Creekview Dr., Contact made with complainant wanting information of how to evict her roommate. Complainant was informed of the process of eviction.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Indian Creek, reference to a subject sitting stationary in the middle of the road on a motorbike. Officer made contact with rider who advised his bike was broke down and help was on the way.
  • EMS Assist, Checkers, reference to a female not breathing.  Upon arrival female was sitting in a chair.  She fell on the way into the business and busted her lip.  EMS checked vitals.  Patient refused transport.
  • Traffic Stop, Highway 78 at Highway 138 exit – Bryan Quade was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for multiple traffic violations.  Mr. Quade gave officer a false name and DOB.  Mr. Quade had a valid warrant for his arrest out of the City Loganville for probation violation.  Mr. Quade was arrested for the warrant and charged with city ordinance disorderly conduct for providing me with a false name and DOB.
  • Suspicious Persons, Michael Etchison Rd. and Highway 138. Two Hispanic males seen leaving a restaurant and believed to be intoxicated and driving a White Chevrolet pickup truck. Area was searched with negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop, Harris St., Kenyonus Card was arrested for driving while license suspended and loud music. He was fingerprinted and released.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to Kiari Walker Shoplifting a total of 31 grocery food items with a dollar amount of $150.38, Kiari Walker was arrested and transported to the City of Monroe Police Department without incident. Ms. Walker was fingerprinted and released on copy of citation. Report taken
  • Suspicious vehicle, Great Oaks Dr., Intoxicated belligerent customer driving a white Chevrolet Colorado.  Gone prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to subject selling CD’s at Murphy’s USA from a band group named Mikel Knight. Store clerk advised they were okay to be on location, but they were also advised of city ordinance in obtaining a permit to solicit.
  • Traffic Stop, West Spring St /Breedlove Dr.,  silver Nissan Altima impounded by towing company for no insurance and driver cited.
  • Dispute, Overlook Crest, reference to Bryan Rust throwing a bag of fruit at complainant’s vehicle while it was in motion, complainant was driving on Overlook Crest when Bryan Rust threw the bag of fruit which struck the left side fog light assembly causing in to break. Bryan Rust was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threats and Acts, he was transported to the City of Monroe Police Department to be fingerprinted and was then transported to the Walton County Jail and turned over to the jail staff without incident.   • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of East Church Street. Caller advised a black female driving a beige Cutlass was seen with an open container. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Intoxicated Person, Baron Dr., While patrolling Kephonsus Jackson stumbled out in front of officer’s patrol car, holding a beer, in the roadway. Subject dropped beer when approached and caused a scene in front of bystanders where he had to be escorted to the back seat while under arrest. Jackson was charged with Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct and Littering. While dealing with the subject, someone picked up the beer can to hide from police.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Walmart, Christopher Smith was cited for driving without a license and was advised to stop selling CD’s without a proper permit.
  • Animal Complaint, Pinecrest Dr., reference to an animal barking.  Dog was not barking at my time of arrival.  Advised to contact animal control.
  • Animal Complaint, Pinecrest Dr., reference to a dog barking. made contact with the complainant who advised the dog has been outside all day and no one has been at home. The dog is in a fenced in back yard and appears ok. The complainant was advised to contact animal control.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Creekview Drive. Caller advised a small red passenger car has history of speeding in the area. Unknown make or model. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Persons, 4th St., reference to two black males in the back yard one of them possible had a knife.  Checked the area with negative contact.
  • Loud Music, Maple Place Town Homes Apt., reference to loud Music.  Spoke to the owner had him turn the music down.
  • Animal Bite, West Spring St., Clearview, reference to complainant getting bit on the right leg by a black lab while walking on Spruce Lane on 02/16/2018 at approximately 2130hrs-2200hrs. Turned over to Animal Control. 
  • Domestic, Glen Iris Drive – Edison Byrd was arrested for Simple Battery following a physical altercation with his girlfriend.
  • Wreckless Driver, South Broad St. locate the Semi truck in question and observed it going over the double yellow line.  Cited the driver for failure to maintain lane.
  • Damage to Property, Master’s Dr., reference to an Gray Ford striking the complainant mail box and leaving the scene.  Report taken.
  • Domestic, Alcovy St., reference to male and female having a verbal argument.  Report taken for documentation. 
  • Traffic Stop, Alcovy and South Broad, final stop location was the Walgreens parking lot, in reference to a gray in color Ford Focus missing the passenger side mirror matching the description of the from the damage to property call on Masters Drive. While conducting an investigatory stop it was determined to not be the vehicle, however the both the driver Trisha Davies and the passenger had suspended licenses. Trisha Davies was placed under arrest and transported to the City of Monroe Police department to be fingerprinted and was released on copy of citation. A licensed driver was contacted to take Trisha Davies and passenger and their vehicle home. report taken.
  • Discharging Firearms, East Church St., reference to the person hearing gunshots in the area.  Negative contact with any evidence of it.
  • Prowler, Wheel House Lane, reference to resident’s hearing someone at the front door of the residence and then at the back door, they advised it sounded like something was thrown at the back door. Area check conducted with negative findings. Everything on location ok. 
  • Welfare Check, Hwy 78 at Unisia Dr., reference to a white male sleeping near the roadway. Officers made contact with male subject. He was told to either leave the city limits of Monroe or he could go to jail for loitering. He walked across the street to the area of the Walton Inn in the county.
  • Transport, Gwinnett County Jail, reference to Nicholas Bryan Fuller with failure to appear warrants. Fuller was picked up, transported to MPD for fingerprinting, and released to the Walton County Jail without incident. Fuller removed from GCIC.
  • Fight, East Spring St., Popeyes, reference to a fight between three employees. They were issued citations for disorderly conduct and released on copy.
