Monroe PD Reports: Man stabbed, stolen vehicle recovered with All-Star, dog dies from neglect

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 1 – 7, 2017. Due to the length of this report, it has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile complaint, Wheelhouse Lane regarding juveniles out running in streets. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Plaza Dr. All ok, party was taking place and advised to keep noise down.
  • Stolen vehicle, Jack Peter’s Store, 2017 Chevy Malibu stolen and recovered with assistance of All-Star on Claywill Circle. Vehicle towed by towing company for processing. CID was notified.
  • EMS assist, W. Creek Circle, regards to black male possibly being stabbed or cut. Contact made with male subject who had blood on his person. EMS arrived and bandaged what subject would allow. Subject consented to alco-sensor and produced a reading of .150. Subject advised he is fine and did not want any police or EMS assistance and stated he would walk home. Report done
  • Noise complaint, Maple Lane., regards to party taking place and people in parking lot arguing. Contact made, and party was quiet, all appeared ok.
  • Structure fire, S. Broad St., (Southside Park). Arrived on scene and two officers made forced entry to check for occupants and trailer was clear. Two fire extinguishers deployed to subdue fire until Monroe Fire arrived. Male subject was occupant of trailer that caught fire. Report taken for forced entry and deployed fire extinguisher.
  • Dispute, Meadow Walk Dr., complainant was upset that he slept in his truck last night because his girlfriend was intoxicated and fell asleep after locking the door. The couple had a verbal altercation. Situation mediated. Report taken
  • Animal Complaint, Michael Circle. Complainant found a malnourished K9 in his backyard this morning. Officer made contact with animal control who stated they would retrieve the K9 next date. Complainant stated he would care for it until picked up.
  • Residence Check, Morrow St., complainant who is out of town advised a neighbor told him his house had been burglarized. All windows and doors were secure. All appeared ok.
  • Warrant Attempt, Pine Park St., Clinton Foster located and transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office without incident. Mr. Foster was the subject that left Clearview last date after Walton County Jail refused him.
  • Damage to Property, East Spring St.  & Highway 78 on ramp.  Truck carrying scrap metal lost some of its load onto Highway 78.  Six vehicles damaged by running over items. Two vehicles towed by towing company, and one vehicle towed by another towing company.  Driver of truck was cited for Failure to Secure Load.  The load was secured before departure.  Report taken.
  • Dispute, Davis and Pine Park. Complainant wanted to ask about getting his property from his ex-girlfriend. He was advised of the Civil Process due to him being out on Bond and not being able to contact her.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., male and female subjects were at the residence damaging their own property. Both were gone when officers arrived. Male subject the homeowner called a tow truck to have their damaged vehicle removed. Report Taken.
  • Animal Complaint, New Lacy St., Caller advised that a dead K9 was behind address given on New Lacy St and they believed it died from neglect. Officer investigated, and it appeared malnourished and had been dead for a few days. Officer contacted animal control and they advised they would send someone out next date and take over the investigation. No homeowners on location at time of arrival.
  • Domestic, two subjects were disputing over rent money. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Persons, South Broad St., Reference two subjects from nearby personal care homes asking to put items on layaway without any money.  Male and female stated they got married yesterday and wanted to get each other a Christmas gift.  Male subject was taken back to South Broad St. and female taken back to a different address on South Broad Street. All ok.
  • Dispute, Pine Circle. Complainant requested an Officer standby during a custody exchange. All ok.
  • Damage to Property, East Washington St., Reference to a 1991 Jeep Cherokee shot with a pellet gun three times.  Vehicle was vacuumed out prior to calling 911, unable to locate projectile.  Report taken.
  • Dispute, Breedlove Drive, complainant and her stepdaughter disputing over material objects in the residence. Complainant is tired of stepdaughter running her mouth and wants her out of the house. Stepdaughter advised she would move out first chance. Stepdaughter advised she would stay the night away. Situation mediated. Report Taken
  • Domestic, King St., reference to complainant wanting his $300 he allowed his niece to hold for him. Complainant was advised to contact niece to retrieve his money back.
  • Harassment, Creek View Dr., complainant advised named female subject is posting bad things about her on Facebook. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person/Vehicle at the Monroe Airport. Caller advised there was dirt bikes on the runway. Contact made with several pilots who stated they were on the runway with their street bikes.
  • Stolen Vehicle, New Lacy St., complainant stating her Black 2003 Kia Optima was stolen on the 29th this month from her old residence on New Lacy Street. Report Taken.
  • Escort, Clearview Regional.  Officers gave a courtesy ride to a patient that had just been released to South Side Mobile Home Park.
  • Dispute, East Church St., brother verbally disputing with his sister over taking their terminally ill father to the hospital and brother not leaving the residence. Brother left soon after officers arrival and EMS checked their father. All was ok.
  • ShopLifting, East Spring St., manager reported seeing someone that resembled a person from last date that stole. Upon further investigation it was not the same person.
