Monroe PD Reports: Patient spitting at hospital staff, domestic disputes including over cleanliness of home

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 9 – 16, 2017. Due to the length of this report, it has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, West Spring St., Haven Inn, reference to two subjects not wanting to pay the full amount due at checkout. Guest felt he was over charged, guest stated they did not smoke in the room but are being charged for the fact ashes and cigarette trash was found in the room. The situation was mediated, and the civil process was explained.
  • Domestic Dispute, Breedlove Dr., in reference to two female subjects having a verbal agreement over living together. Explained the eviction process.
  • Domestic Dispute, Carver Place. Met with complainant whom advised her baby daddy had been kicking her side door off and on all morning since 0700 hours. No damage was observed to the door. Male subject was gone upon officer arrival.
  • Theft, Classic Trail, Tichina Young advised an unknown person took her child’s I pad sometime over the weekend.  No serial number available.  Mrs. Young had a valid warrant for arrest for deposit account fraud out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office.  Mrs. Youngs was arrested and turned over to Walton County Jail.
  • Burglary in Progress, Atha St., in reference to off duty deputy seeing a white male enter the residence at this location through a window. Officer arrived on scene and made contact with male subject who stated that he lived at the residence. This was confirmed through his mother that he has permission to be at the location.
  • EMS Assist, Green St. in reference to a female unconscious and not breathing in hospice care with a possible DNR. Could not locate or confirm DNR, so Fire and EMS conducted CPR. Female could not be resuscitated, so EMS was advised by a doctor via phone to stop CPR. MED 5 was later able to make contact with hospice whom confirmed a DNR was in place. Officer took possession of the morphine until hospice could arrive on scene. Morphine was handed over to RN from hospice.
  • Dispute, Mountain View Dr. in reference to complainant wanting to report the kids that live behind her, she stated they were playing on her property and was using a hatchet on the trees. Officer made contact with the residences who live on Forrest Lane who stated her kids always play in that spot, both parties were advised the citation is a civil matter and were explained the civil process.   • Meet with officer on Lacy St., complainant wanted Officer’s to assist him in breaking into his residence after he locked his keys inside. Complainant was advised officer could not assist.
  • Officer Met With complainant at Dollar General in reference to her wanting information on drug rehab programs for her son. Gave her names and number of programs to call and to call back if she needs further assistance.
  • Threats, Towler St., complainant advised that a named subject came back to the residence in continuation from the incident that occurred last date where named subject threatened to shoot up the residence. He advised the named subject tapped on his bedroom window with a gun. Complainant advised he feared for his life and left the room. He stated that the subject then tried to make entry into the residence. The subject left when complainant advised he was calling 911. Complainant also stated that after he left his bedroom the subject broke the bedroom window he had been tapping on with the gun. Complainant’s girlfriend witnessed subject outside the residence with the gun in his hand. Warrants to be taken for criminal trespass and aggravated assault. Complainant’s girlfriend, Lacey Jackson, gave officers the false name and date of birth whom came back with a warrant for Larceny out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Complainant advised officers of her real name, and Lacey was placed under arrest for a probation warrant out of WCSO.
  • Animal complaint, Armistead Circle in regard to Pitbull on front porch trying to get in house and roaming freely. Contact made with dog on Etten Crt. and secured by owner. Animal Control notified to perform follow-up and owner cited for animal ordinance violation.
  • Civil issue, Douglas St. in regard to mother stating she has not heard from her 9 YOA daughter who is w/ father. Daughter called while on scene, all ok.
  • Suspicious person at JB Food Mart in regard to female subject on location with marijuana. Area checked with negative contact.
  • WCSO requested area check on Hwy 138 in regard to black male driving black truck left Pizza Hut in Walnut Grove after scamming business for $92.00 and headed towards Monroe. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Missing person, W. Marable St. in regard to female subject was reported missing by her husband but unsure why. GCIC did not show female to be missing, all ok.
  • Entering auto report, S. Broad St. (Carwash) in regard to complainant stating his gold Chevy Venture was entered sometime between 2:30PM and 6:00PM on Spruce Ln. and 2 packs of Paul Mall cigarettes, $40.00 cash, and a Wells Fargo debit card were stolen. Complainant suspects name given due to letting him sleep in van, but no proof could be provided. Contact made with subject who advised he did not steal anything and suspects other people who have been around complainant. Report taken.
  • Dispute, E. Church St. (Jack Peters) in regard to a black refusing to get out of vehicle. Male subject was in vehicle with female subject and refusing to get out. Male subject left when police arrived, report taken
  • Stopping suspicious car with arrest on E. Church St. at Hammond Drive. Karen Reichelder arrested for Driving on Suspended License. Towed vehicle
  • Suspicious person near Douglas St. in regard to anonymous caller stating kids standing outside possibly stealing “Wi-Fi”. Area checked, and all appeared ok.
  • Medical call at Clearview in regard to male patient spitting at staff and becoming combative. Patient was restrained and medicated, all ok.
  • Road Rage at Highway 78 and Unisia Dr., Reference to a brown Nissan driving reckless. Officer observed vehicle, and all was ok.
  • Citizen Flag Down, N Broad St (Al’s Discount Tire) citizen found a set of keys in the parking lot. Officer checked with the library due to the keys having a library card, got the name off the account and property was returned to the owner on Hill St.
  • Medical Patient, West Spring St., patient being combative towards nursing staff. Upon arrival subject was calmed down and the nurse gave him medication. Subject is a mental patient. All was ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Reference to a gold SUV occupied by possible shoplifters. Officer had negative contact.
  • Domestic, Sorrells St., brother verbally disputing with sister over cleanness of apartment.  Situation mediated. Report taken.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., father disputing with 17-year-old son about him smoking marijuana in residence.  Situation mediated.
