The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Feb.10 – 16, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Domestic Dispute, Turner Street between two males. Complainant stated that male subject struck him in the mouth causing a visible injury. Warrants to be taken out on male subject for Battery.
- 911 Hang up call Hickory Drive – Elderly female fell in the driveway. Turned over to EMS.
- Road rage at Hwy 78 / Unisia Dr., Complainant advised that the driver of a Porshe threw something at his vehicle and pulled a (gun) on him. Complainant advised that he did not have time to report in person. Negative contact with either vehicle.
- Sexual Assault DFACS / Georgia Way, Occurred on Custom Way. Complainant advised that name subject told his 6-year-old son to have oral sex with his younger sibling. Officer was advised.
- Shoplifting/ arrest at Wal-Mart, Becky Patton arrested for theft by shoplifting. Fingerprinted and released on copy.
- Warrants/arrest at DFACS, Vito Ferrugia arrested for warrants, violation of court order.
- Shoplifting/arrestat Wal-Mart, Tiffany Propes arrested for theft by shoplifting. Fingerprinted and released on copy.
- Dispute, Lake View Drive, Complainant requested to make a report of an incident that occurred on 01/25/2017, involving her baby’s father. Father came to visit daughter for first time in over a year.
- Dispute, Turner Street, complainant wanted named subject removed from the property. Subject and her children reside there. Complaint was advised of the civil process.
- Suspicious vehicle, Breedlove Drive / CVS, Ref: Black passenger car passing on a double yellow line on McDaniel Street. Made contact with the vehicle. Driver checked ok.
- Juvenile Complaint at MPD, Walk in report in the lobby. DFACS needed a report in reference to a 9-year-old touching a 6-year-olds private parts on 01/15/2015. Officer is familiar with the incident.
- Damage to Property, Landers Street, complainant advised that her Nissan Altima was damaged on 02-12-17 while parked at her residence.
- Dispute (non-violent), Turner Street, Ref: two subjects arguing over the same thing as earlier call this date. Situation mediated. One subject left on foot.
- Suspicious person, West Vine St., Monroe Metal Recycling. Male subject was seen on property after hours. Made contact with subject who advised he was unfamiliar with business hours and wanted to buy sheet metal. Subject was allowed to make purchase, all ok.
- Suspicious person, West Spring St., Wal-Mart. Area check requested for white male wearing camo jacket. Located male subject and identified, all ok.
- Theft in progress, West Spring St., Murphy USA. Drinks taken from cooler without paying. Vehicle stopped at Creekview Dr., driver had dropped off the two subjects that had taken merchandise.
- McDaniel Street and Woodland Road. Jonathan Herrod arrested for warrants out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office, possession of marijuana, attempting to conceal and misrepresent vehicle, and headlight requirements.
- Area check, East Marable St., Mathews Park, located suspicious vehicle in parking lot. Richard Hunter arrested for warrants out of Newton County. Vehicle left on location for registered owner to retrieve.
- Domestic problem, Store House Ct., male and female subjects arguing over living arrangements, eviction process explained, all ok.
- Juvenile complaint, Claywheel Circle Complainant advised that 17-year-old son snuck his girlfriend over who is not welcome. Girlfriend advised not to come back, all ok.
- Theft report taken at Monroe Police Department. Complainant advised she lost her prescriptions for Roxycodone and Diazapem, prior to getting them filled.
- Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring Street – 1st Franklin Financial in reference to a white Nissan with LPR’s on the rear driving through the parking lot. Possibly a Repo recovery vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
- Suspicious Vehicle, at Walmart in reference to a blue Ford Crown Victoria parked on location since 0600 hours, occupied by a white male. Contact made with driver who stated his apartment was getting bombed due to fleas so he wanted to relax and rest in a secure environment while waiting.
- Suspicious Vehicle, Ridge Road in reference to a black Honda speeding through the apartment complex, occupied by four (4) black juveniles. Area checked with negative contact.
- Domestic, Ridge Road in reference to father wanting his son to leave due to them not getting along. The son was picked up by his mother prior to my arrival.
- Dispute, Booth Drive, female on location highly intoxicated and unable to function. Male subject requested her gone from the house before they get into an altercation. TOT MED 1
- Harassment report taken at the Monroe Police Department. Complainant requested information regarding a form of harassment. Advised of remedies.
- Theft report taken at Monroe Police Department. Complainant requested to file report in reference to stolen property.
- Domestic at the Monroe Motor Inn in reference to a white male and female fighting. Contact made with both subjects walking on Spring Street who advised they have not been fighting. No physical marks located of either subject. They were separated and departed in opposite directions.
- Welfare check, Turner St. Friend of female subject requested officer check on her because she hasn’t heard from her in a few days after dispute with boyfriend. Contact made with subject, all ok.
- Stopped suspicious vehicle on Church St. and Poplar St. Passenger Mr. Johnson arrested for WCSO warrants.
- Unknown law, Maple St. dispute between male and female subjects over female wanting to sleep, situation mediated.
- Suspicious person/vehicle, Sorrells St. Comp advised named subject driving van or SUV followed him from Jack Peters and attempted to run him off the road. Report filed for damage to rim after he hit curb.
- Request escort from West Spring St., Clearview Medical to Great Oaks Retirement Home. Extended response time due to road rage incident below, subject transported by ProCare.
- Road rage in the area of Maple Lane and Sorrells St. Vehicles stopped at Charlotte Rowell and Highway 78. Delencia Wingfield upset with female driver over driver running vehicle off road with 6-year-old in car. Wingfield arrested for DOC.
- Dispute, West Spring St., Clearview Medical Center, .ICU. Patient becoming combative. Patient was sedated, all ok.
- During area check on foot of downtown Monroe, citizen flagged down officer. Female complainant advised she was being threatened by an unknown male and was scared for her life for a week, incident occurred in the county. Comp was provided non-emergency 911 number and advised how to get to the SO. She left in the opposite direction without making call to dispatch.
