Monroe PD Reports: Reports of female pimping out juvenile male; son, grandson steal from mother

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 26 – June 1, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute at Cedar Lane between two subjects over Facebook. No Family Violence present and male stated he would leave for evening.
  • Fraud, N. Midland Ave. (Sycamore Square Apts.) Complainant stated Suntrust fraud dept. called and advised strange purchase at Circle K in Columbus, GA for $114.00. Complainant advised his account was frozen and cards deactivated and he made contact with store manager who advised Muslim Indian looking man used card to purchase 2 cartons of Newport cigarettes and incident is on video. Follow up will need to be done. Report taken
  • Disturbing the peace at Landers Street in regards to motorcycles being rode in roadway, ongoing issue. Contact made with a male subject on Landers St. and rules of the road explained. Male was uncooperative.
  • Extra patrol, S. Hammond Dr. (First Christian Church) requested by complainant who advised a W/M and W/F couple have permission to sleep in van next to pavilion but wanted couple periodically checked to make sure couple is not taking advantage of the situation.
  • Dispute at Lacy St. Complainant advised a male subject threw water balloons at her truck. Report taken
  • Loitering and prowling, W. Spring St. (Marathon gas station) in regards to 10-15 vehicles full of juveniles blocking traffic and gas pumps. Spoke with manager and contact made and all subjects given warning to loitering and prowling. All subjects advised to find another location to spend time together and sent on way.
  • Suspicious person at Storehouse Crt. in regards to B/F wearing black shirt and black/white stripe skirt offered complainant’s 16-year-old son adult sexual services for money. Report taken.
  • Suspicious person at Overlook Trail in regards to heavy set W/F wearing red shirt and black leggings going through people’s mailboxes. Contact made complainant at Overlook Trl. And he advised himself and wife witnessed the W/F go through their mailbox and then leave on foot towards entrance once confronted. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Scam at Lakeview Dr. in regards to IRS phone scam. Complainant was advised to contact IRS fraud department. Complainant did not send any money to subjects.
  • Possible persons shot at Hickory Dr. in regards to juvenile called 911 and stated B/M entered home and shot her family and there were dead bodies. Once on scene, 4-year female who was playing on phone. Advised mother about juveniles playing on phones, all was ok.
  • Juvenile complaint, W. Spring St. (Walmart) in regards to multiple teens and vehicles in parking lot causing trouble and loitering and prowling. Once on scene, only 2 vehicles and 2 teen boys on location. Advised of loitering law and sent on way.
  • Dispute at Pine Park St. in regards to female damaging Complainants TV and PlayStation 3.  Loren Sellers arrested for Criminal Trespass.
  • Dispute at Plaza Dr. in regards to brother advising his sister was on location and there are conditions of bond for no contact. Arrived on scene and made contact with mother and she advised she invited daughter to residence to pick her up but daughter stayed in vehicle. No conditions violated, mother and daughter left the scene left the scene. Verbal only, all ok.
  • Suspicious person persons on Lacy St. at Harris St. in regards to juveniles throwing water balloons. Actually damage to property. Complainant was driving on Lacy St. with window down and water balloon hit her IPhone and damaged it. Report taken
  • Suspicious vehicle, W. Spring St. (Waffle House) in regards to motorcycle left on location and driver advised staff to watch it while he went to get trailer. All was ok, not stolen and male driver not on scene.
  • Suspicious person at East Washington St., Athens First ATM. Ref to b/m hanging out by ATM for approximately 45 min. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Illegal parking East Washington St., James Monroe Homes, near PO Boxes. Contact made with owner, vehicle moved.
  • Area check,  Radford St. Anno Comp advised heavy traffic between 1800-2200 and smell of drugs.
  • Civil dispute Gardens Ct. One party not on location, sisters disputing over property during move out. Advised of remedies.
  • Suspicious person Baker St. male subject possibly on location selling drugs. Made contact with his grandmother who advised he was not on location, his 15-year-old son was and favors him. All ok.
  • Theft report Mears St. Ref to red 24” lawnmower. Possible suspect named.
  • Suspicious vehicleat West Spring St., Home Depot. Van with no tag and a female in the vehicle screaming. Vehicle GOA towards Conyers. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Damage to property Indian Creek Dr. Complainant advised someone ran over his mailbox. Declined report, just wanted to advise us.
  • Threats report taken at 116 South Broad St., MPD. Complainant said her neighbor threatened her 16-year-old daughter by saying “I have something for you”
  • Dispute Green St. Dispute over disabled mother’s ATM card. Johnny Jackson arrested for Newton County warrant.
  • Dispute Chestnut Ln. Complainant admitted to being fronted $30 worth of drugs by a male subject. Male came to collect debt and complainant could not pay. Male GOA.
  • Traffic stop East Spring St. and the FISH. Ashley Walls arrested for driving with a suspended license and a Failure to appear from the county.
  • Found property turned in at 116 South Broad St., MPD. Complainant found a subjects personal planner outside of Wild West BBQ. Returned to owner at Turner St.
  • EMS assist, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Asylum. Monroe Fire requesting police due to restraining patient in an ambulance.  Subject was calm and compliant on officer arrival.
  • Welfare check, West Spring St., Monroe Optical. Female on location not knowing how she got there. Declined medical treatment, given ride back home to  Lacy St.
  • Theft report Southview Dr. Mother advised that her son and grandson have taken her debt card, checks, and drained her account. Antique coins and possible gun missing as well.
  • Animal complaint Colquitt St. Ref to loose pit bull that lives at on Colquitt. Animal control advised and responded.
  • Civil issue, N. Broad St. (Monroe Utilities) in regards to complainant being wrongfully evicted. Address was in Wood chase located in the county. WCSO was advised to meet w/ complainant @ Monroe Utilities.
  • Dispute, W. Spring St. (Home Depot) in regards to customer disputing w/ staff. Caller advised W/F w/ blonde hair, purple tank top, and left arm in sling yelling at Home Depot staff due to feeling like she was being ignored and then yelled at staff then got into dark gray Honda Accord and sped out of parking lot towards Hwy 78 EB. Incident only verbal, area checked w/ 10-74 contact w/ vehicle.
  • Dispute report, S. Broad St. in regards to wife struck by husband on Turner St. yesterday and this morning. No visible marks or injury at this time. Report was taken and FISH contacted to see if wife could be placed in local hotel for the evening. Wife was escorted to Haven Inn for the night and Advantage Behavior advised they would pick her up in morning.
  • Theft, Atha St. Complainant advised Craftsman riding lawnmower taken from yard. No serial number could be provided and advised and guy named “Freddie” that he used to work with may have taken it. No other information at this time. Report taken.
  • Shoplifting, W. Spring St. (Walmart) in regards to W/F wearing purple tank top and left arm in sling that grabbed some flowers and potting soil from garden center and placed items in dark gray Honda Civic and then left scene. After further investigation, management advised same female stole items in store and hid them in her sling. WCSO advised to check address in county that vehicle is registered to. Report taken, follow up to be conducted for amount of theft. **Contact made w/ Zinda Adams out in county and Adams arrested for shoplifting. Adams was fingerprinted and released on copy. Adams also became belligerent and aggressive prior to fingerprinting and Use of Force report done due to actions taken by officer. Property that was stolen was recovered and returned to Walmart.   • Suspicious vehicle on Hwy 138 towards Monroe from Walnut Grove area. White Land Rover driving reckless and passing up to 5 vehicles at a time. Area checked with negative contact
  • Dispute @ Davis St. in regards to male jumped onto female’s white Honda Accord. Vehicle registered to male, report taken.
  • Suspicious person @ Hannah Ln. in regards to B/M wearing backpack and has a lazy eye asked complainant for cigarettes and was looking into her doorway. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Unknown @ Michael Circle in regards to a subject complaining of pressure on neck. Subject was transported to Clearview by mother, all ok.
  • EMS assist @ Mill St. Mother advised that her daughter was intoxicated at sister’s house in Loganville and came home drunk. TOT EMS
  • Theft, E. Fambrough St. Complainant stated male took a Bluetooth speaker from his house. When male was confronted several subjects got in their faces about the incident. Contact was made with male and no property matching description was on his person.
  • Structure fire @ Tanglewood Dr., dispatched as structure fire but turned out that resident could not turn off his oven. TOT MFD
  • Suspicious person, S. Broad St. (Southside Mobile Home Park) in regards to W/M with 1 arm in area approaching residents and asking for drugs and sexual favors. Contact made w/ Gary Powell who was arrested for Loitering and Prowling.
  • Burglary @ Baron Dr. and residence not cleared. Upon arrival, contact with two females sitting inside residence. Both advised they are cousins of complainant. Complainant arrived on scene and advised someone damaged the inside of her residence between noon and time of call this date while she was in Athens.
  • Complainant stated she was in a verbal argument with ex-boyfriend at the residence around 1000 hrs. Ex is a possible suspect and does not have key to residence. No signs of forced entry or missing items, just damage. Complainant did not feel safe and was given ride to Tall Oaks. Report taken.
  • Dispute at Subway. Made contact with complainants who advised one of their boyfriend’s was verbally disputing w/ both females and said inappropriate things in front of complainant’s 19 year old daughter. All ok.
  • Dispute at King St. in regards to 15-year-old female home alone and 3 of her male friends came over and did not want to leave. 3 males were GOA upon arrival, all ok.
  • Assault at Clearview. Contact made with a female who had visible marks on face. Female advised she was attacked by 3 W/F on Reed Way and her iPhone 7 was stolen. Female refused to provide address or names of females due to fear of retaliation and also declined theft report for phone. Incident documented
  • Dispute at Shamrock Dr., Complainant stated subjects were having sex in their car and when complainant told them it was inappropriate. Subjects started shouting racist names and coming on to her property. Subjects left in white SUV, possibly a Jeep. Complainant advised the couple do this frequently and smoke meth in vehicle as well. Area checked with negative contact.
