Monroe PD Reports: Sexual assault, entering auto, suspicious persons and burglary complaints

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents during the period Nov. 3 – 9, 2017.  Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Entering Auto, Classic Trail., complainant had several sensitive items including her SS Card, 3 Debit Cards, $215, and her driver’s license stolen from her vehicle (2013 White Kia Optima) sometime during the night. Report Taken.
  • Dispute at Jay’s Towing, complainant disputing with staff over property. Situation mediated. All ok.
  • Suspicious person at South Madison and Davis Street. Black female on a bicycle acting suspicious talking to cars passing by. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person Highway at 78W and E. Marable Street, Black male in a grey hoodie running across the highway. Negative contact.
  • Theft, Mill Creek Way, complainant left his Black T-Mobile phone in his room on the charger at around 07:00 hours this morning. Returned home at around 08:40 hours to find it missing. A search was done of the residence in which complainant’s roommate had a strong odor of marijuana coming from his room in which he gave to officers and was cited for possession.
  • Warrant Served, South Broad Street, Quamane Stroud in the front lobby with an active warrant out of Rockdale County.  Arrested and taken to Walton County Jail.
  • EMS Assist, Wheeler St., caller stated she went to the residence of her fiancé, this morning at around 10:40 hours to find him cold to the touch. Fiancé was DOA. CID notified.
  • Civil Issue, South Madison Ave., Met with Anthony Williams, escorted him to Baron Drive to retrieve property and escorted back to South Madison Avenue. All ok.
  • Damage to Property, Russell Dr., Moody Construction. Made contact with male subject who advised someone keeps putting pine straw inside his mailbox and requested extra patrol.
  • Overdue motorist, West Creek Circle, father stated his son borrowed his vehicle and he wants it returned. Declined stolen report. Vehicle is a 2004 Suzuki 4S Silver in color with GA plate:
  • Damage to Property, South Broad St., Subject wanted a report for his girlfriend’s car due to the locking mechanism being broke after it was unlocked by an MPD officer.  Advised the subject we would need to speak to her to obtain information on the vehicle, location she was at in the city when it was unlocked (girlfriend lives in the county) and photographs if needed.
  • Suspicious Person at South Madison & Norris St., Officer observed an elderly white male walking down South Madison Avenue at Norris Street.  The subject was stumbling, and fell into the road.  elderly man resides on East 5th Street, a personal care home.  Subject is hearing impaired, and could not keep balance.  Made contact with the caretaker, and she advised she did not know where he was.  Elderly man returned home safely.
  • Missing Person, Windsor Dr., subject went for a walk, but family member located her. All ok.
  • Follow Up, Lawrence St., Neighbors next door have cameras and caught three subjects walking the street and then two going behind the house.  However due to it being dark out, unable to identify faces or other possible identifiers on the subjects.
  • Dispute, Towler St., two subjects were disputing. Female subject wanted male subject to leave the residence. Male subject was GOA, all ok.
  • Illegal Parking, South Broad Street (Monroe Motor Auto Sales), Reference to a Tractor Trailer on the property. Company owner of trucking service contacted, and truck will be removed within the next hour. All ok.
  • Theft Report, White Oak Lane, complainant stated named Female stole her boyfriend’s, Craig trailer on Halloween night. Report Taken.
  • Dispute in the area of King Street. Anonymous complainant stated a black male and female subject were disputing. Female subject left the area in a passenger car. Conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Carwood Dr., complainant stated his girlfriend’s mother and he were in a dispute over money issues. Female subject was GOA, remedies advised.
  • Suspicious Person, Michael Circle, complainant stated her neighbor located on Michael Circle is a registered sex offender and had questions regarding him talking to her granddaughter earlier this date. Remedies advised.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad Street in reference to a group of people standing by the dumpster. Negative Contact with anyone outside around the dumpster.
  • Dispute, Maple Way, complainant reported her husband destroyed two TVs in their home and slashed two tires on her car. The husband was discovered to have Felony warrants x2 but was gone when officers arrived. Family violence report completed.
  • Prowler, Hill St., met with male subject who called because someone was knocking on his door. The person was his family all ok.
  • Sexual Assault at Ridgeview Institute.  A juvenile female made an outcry to her mother that she was sexual assaulted on November 1st.  Contact was made with the juvenile and was interviewed concerning the assault. Report taken.
  • Follow Up, Dean St., complainant wanted us to know that the group of kids that stole his dirt bikes were back in the area and threatened to kick his door in.  Officers conducted an area check with negative results.
  • Area Check, Downtown Monroe in reference to several kids walking around town. Made contact with residence and advised them to go inside. All ok.
  • Suspicious Persons, Davis St., homeowner wanted the property checked due to several males hanging out at the vacant house. We located four males on the property and informed them that the old tenant had moved out and the home owner did not want people hanging out there anymore.  All males left the location.
  • Dispute, King St., complainant stated her husband took her computer and Percocet medication. Supplemental report added to case #.
  • Burglary, Tall Oaks West, homeowner reported that when she arrived home her back door was kicked open. She reported a gun stolen from her bedroom. Report taken.
  • Animal Complaint, Armstead Cir., complainant stated a white female Pitbull who previously attempted to ram its way into her living room through a window in back.  Pitbull was gone when officers arrived.  Owner of the k-9 were located on Etten Ct who did not know it was loose.  Owners were educated on city ordinance and the importance of keeping the k-9 confined.  Supplemental report completed.
