The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 11 – 17, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Child Abuse, North Midland Ave., mother wanted to report her daughter was inappropriately touched twice last year by named subject. Report taken.
- Wanted Person, Mayfield Dr., reference to a named subject possibly walking in the area.
- Sexual Assault, West Spring St., Piedmont Walton ER, Ref to a 3y/o assaulted on East Washington St. Suspect named. CID responded, DFACS notified.
- Suicide Attempt, East Farnborough St., reference to the subject taking excessive Tylenol and Anti-Vomit pills. Transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS.
- Domestic Dispute, West Marable St., reference to complainant wanting named male subject to leave. No Domestic Violence. Report Taken.
- EMS Assist, Carwood Dr., reference to a black male having seizures. Turned over to to EMS
- Suspicious Vehicle, Mountain View Dr., reference to truck in woods. No contact all appears 1ok.
- Overdose, Spruce Ln., reference to the female subject taking an unknown amount of muscle relaxers while drinking wine. Was transported to ER by EMS. All ok.
- Fraud, Mayfield Dr., reference to complainant having fraudulent activity on his credit report.
- Wanted Person, Mountain View Dr., reference to a Devin Vanenkenvoort on location with an active probation violation warrant through WCSO. He was located at Gwinnett Clinic and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Walton County Jail.
- Traffic Stop, Davis St., Lumpkin St., Roderick Foster stopped for a brake light violation. Foster’s license was suspended. Foster was taken into custody and fingerprinted at the PD. He was released on a copy of the citation.
- Dispute, South Broad St., MPD lobby, reference to a dispute that occurred at Frog’s Pawn. The situation was resolved.
- Dispute, South Broad St., Wells Fargo, reference to customer disputing with staff over policy changes. The customer was gone when officers arrived.
- Suspicious Persons, Highland Creek, reference to two b/m’s driving around in a silver in color SUV attempting to enter a vacant residence. Vehicle and subjects GOA, extra patrol requested.
- Dispute at The Car Wash on West Spring St. Officers made contact with two subjects who advised they were playing around. All ok.
- Request area check at an area of Marathon/Pinecrest Dr., ref to white Tahoe parked with the driver with a suspended license. Area searched with negative contact.
- Suspicious person in the area of North Broad St., /Deer Acers. Ref to a b/m wearing a thick coat walking in the street and waving his hands.
- Assault, Plaza Dr., reference to complainant wanting to report that he was jumped. Further investigation discovered complainant had agreed to meet for a fight but was only upset when the opposing party brought friends. The complainant stated that he did not want a report done so as not to implicate himself in any wrongdoing.
- CID/FIT assist, Highway 78. Truck Stop. Two subjects detained in reference to a WCSO investigation, all ok
- Escort, North Midland Ave., reference to complainant requesting an escort to Hubbard St. to retrieve property. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle, Highway 138, Nunnally Farm Rd., reference to a Ford Mustang speeding and driving reckless. Officer had negative contact.
- Domestic dispute violent, North Broad St., the complainant was physically assaulted by her husband. Warrants to be taken.
- Request to meet in person, South Broad St., MPD parking lot, reference to a female subject receiving text messages from her sister about a Homicide. Turned over to CID at Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Dispute, West Spring St, McDonalds, reference to a customer causing a scene and refusing to move her car from the drive-through line due to having to pay 37 cents for a sauce pack. The customer was gone when officers arrived. All ok.
- Request to search area, CID/FIT request area check of Southside MHP/Conestoga for a silver F150 and a named male subject, reference to the WCSO investigation. Negative contact
- Transport, one female and one male from Monroe PD to WCSO CID.
- Prowler, Lakeview Dr., complainant stated she heard knocking on her bedroom window. The area was checked, and no one was found.
- Traffic Stop, South Madison/East Church St., Maquila Jones arrested for local warrants and cited for possession of marijuana under an ounce.
