Monroe PD Reports: Snake relocated from home, teen steals food from hospital

The Monroe Police reported the following incidents for the period May 17 – 24, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damaged to Property, Windsor Dr., met with complainant who advised her car had been damaged while at Wal-Mart. Report taken.
  • Loud Music, Green St., Complainant upset over lady who called about her being in the road and about her neighbor talking to her.  All ok.
  • Trespassing, East Marable St., reference to a subject fishing in a private lake belonging to East Marable St.  Made contact with subject and issued him a warning to stay off the property.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Highway 138/Chick-Fil-A, Male walking with a cane. Checked all of Charoltte Rowell Blvd with negative contact.
  • Damage to Property, West Spring St., Walmart, Complainant said while he was inside Walmart earlier that someone sideswiped his vehicle.  Noticeable damage to the passenger side. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Fambrough St., reference to people riding four wheelers Negative contact.
  • Burglary, Davis St., Female subject was living here and refused access to belongings. Female went in through the window. Resident advised of eviction and civil matter.
  • Burglary, Davis St, complainant stated that a previous tenant had broken into her house while she was not home. Upon further investigation the tenant still had rights to be on the property and no crime had been committed. Complainant was advised of the eviction process.
  • Threats, Towler St., complainant advised he received a text message from a female stating that she was going to meet cops at his residence in order to get her mother’s belongings.  It was explained to him that this was not a threat.  He requested a report be made. 
  • Burglary in Progress, Rose Ison Terrace, Complainant stated that his girlfriend lives at this residence and he came over to see her and her vehicle was not there. Complainant claimed he observed someone inside the residence. Officers were not able to see anyone inside the residence. All doors and windows were secure. Officers tried to contact girlfriend by phone with negative contact.
  • Robbery, J&B Food Mart, Complainant called and said three black males forced him into a vehicle with firearms at the store and drove him to behind the Jagged edge Hair solon. Complainant stated the males pointed a pistol at him and jumped him. $6 was taken and his wallet. The suspects left in a white color SUV.  Complainant was transported by EMS for minor injuries.
  • Dispute, Ash Lane, spoke to resident who stated there was not any problems at her residence.  She was tired of her family getting involved in her business and everything was fine.
  • Dispute, Piedmont Walton, Staff advised they had a patient in on a 10-13 order. Patient was not cooperating with staff and was sedated all ok.
  • Prowler, West Creek Circle, Complainant advised someone knocked on her exterior wall.  Officers walked the perimeter of the residence and had negative contact with anyone.  All appeared 10-4.
  • Mental health subject, East Marable St., reference to complainant calling because she heard someone outside asking for $500 the area was checked with negative contact with anyone.
  • 911 Hang Up, Eagles Trail,  complainant stated male was on location and would not leave.  Male was gone when officers arrived.  All ok. 
  • Animal Complaint Toller St., Snake inside home. Snake was removed and relocated to the woods.
  • Theft, Piedmont Walton, made contact with staff who advised a 16-year-old was found in the hospital kitchen stealing food. Report taken and referred to juvenile court.
  • Contact message, Parkway Pl., Walton County Sheriff’s Office requested officers to make contact with a female and have her contact them. Made contact with female and passed along information. 
  • Suspicious Person, TangleWood Dr., reference to mother calling because her daughter was outside talking to a subject and she was concerned for daughter’s safety. I made contact with daughter and she advised all was okay and she didn’t know why her mom called.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Broad St., reference to a tractor trailer failing to maintain lane. Officer observed the tractor trailer and did not see any traffic infractions. All appeared 10-4.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to a white male in a white hoodie who took electronic merchandise while officer was still on scene from earlier call. The male took off on foot towards Home Depot. The male was identified by a female he had been on scene with. Walmart advised they recovered their property prior to the male running off and did not want to pursue charges.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Breedlove Court, reference to a dark passenger vehicle. Officer made contact with male subject who advised he was meeting a co-worker to install a security system.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Highway 138 and West Spring St., reference to a white car driving reckless. Officer checked the area with negative contact.
  • Fraud, MPD. Officer made contact with the branch manager of Pinnacle Bank. She advised that a male attempted to cash a fraudulent check on May 10, 2018 in the amount of $1700. I was advised he attempted to cash the same check at the Social Circle branch and did in fact cash a separate check at the Covington Branch. She advised the Monroe branch did want charges to be pressed. Officer reviewed still images of the male subject from video footage and identified him as the same male subject. Warrant to be taken for forgery in the third degree.
  • Entering Auto, Michael Circle, complainant stated that an unknown person(s) entered her 2014 blue Honda Accord sometime between 2100 hours last date and 0545 hours this date. No items taken, but wanted a report on file.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Hannah Lane, complainant stated that as soon as the Officer left after the last call, his daughter began yelling and screaming at him. He advised she threatened to run away again and was not doing as she was told. Juvenile complaint filed for unruly.
  • Welfare Check,  South Broad St., Hardees in reference to checking for a female driving a white minivan.  The van was on location but female had left earlier in the day WCSO was notified. 
  • Suspicious Package, East Spring St., Historic Courthouse, reference to a white paper bag sitting on a bench in front of the Courthouse, everything on location ok the bag contained a candy apple and a credit card which was retrieved while officer was on location.
  • Noise Complaint, Magnolia Terrace, resident was advised to turn the down, she stated they were allowed to listen to music until 10pm.
  • Stolen Vehicle locate Carver Place, reference to Christopher Vinson being in possession of a stolen vehicle at this location.  Vinson was arrested for theft by receiving stolen vehicle and taken to the Walton County Jail.  Vehicle was removed from GCIC by Walton County Communication.
  • Dispute, East Church St., Chevron, reference to a white female disputing with the store clerk, made contact with the clerk he advises the female was gone when officers arrived and the complainant stated he did not want her on location anymore. The clerk was advised to contact the 911 if she returns so she can be criminally trespassed.
