Monroe PD Reports: Suspect hiding in home leads to 3 arrests

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 2 – 8, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fifth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle White Saturn SUV Failing to maintain lane on N Broad, south bound, Negative contact.
  • Domestic Tall Oaks Lane: Mother disputing with son in reference to a vehicle and a verbal agreement.  Advised of remedies and civil process.
  • Wanted person at Harris St Caller advised that a female was at this location with active warrants. prior to arrival subject was ran through GCIC and had no active warrants. No contact was made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Plaza Trace in reference to a Chevrolet Impala that has been on the side of the road since 03/02/2018.  Made contact with owner at Plaza Trace.  Stated vehicle is broken down and will be moved today.   
  • Scam 1104B Gliding Lane: Complainant said someone called advising they were the IRS demanding money.  Advised of remedies.  
  • Theft South Broad Street: Complainant said a white male stole a large wind chime ($250) he had on Saturday at approximately 1645 hours.  Subject seen on video.  Took a photo of subject to attach to report while employee works to burn a disc.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at West Spring Street in reference to a 2018 Ford Transit on location.  Owner of business not sure of who dropped it off, trying to make contact with the owner of vehicle.  Vehicle returned to a rental company.  Advised he would contact Enterprise Rental. All ok.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring Street (Quality Foods).  Officer flagged down in the parking lot while conducting a area check.  Employee advised a white male with tattoos wearing a black shirt, and a black/red hat left the store without paying for two bags of groceries.  Employee stated he found the subject on Carwood Drive, and retrieved the items.  Officer patrolled Carwood Drive with negative contact of the subject.  Employee stated the items were retrieved, and did not need a police report.  Continued area check for the subject. 
  • Assist DFACS at Master Dr. DFACS requested officer as they made contact with the father at the listed address. No contact was made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 138 & H.D. Atha in reference to a black passenger vehicle that passed a school bus illegally.  Negative contact with vehicle. 
  • Traffic Stop East Marable St / N Madison Ave. Officer observed a black Nissan Versa traveling down Maple Ln. The tag was ran through GCIC/NCIC and returned with no insurance and suspended tag. Bobby Tory was cited for both and vehicle was impounded by Taylors.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Hammond Drive/Government Building: Disabled Vehicle.  They are waiting on a wrecker to tow the vehicle. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle/Traffic Stop Highway 78 East/Minerva: Black passenger car driving reckless.  Conducted traffic stop to check welfare and all ok.
  • Improper Parking at Meadow Court in reference to a vehicle belonging to Meadow Court parking near the driveway.  Negative contact at residence and left a card asking them to move the vehicle. 
  • Weapon East Spring Street/Bryant Road: Black male wearing red shirt pulled a gun. Juveniles walking home from the store. No weapons located and all ok.
  •  Mental patient In reference to a 10-13 patient causing a disturbance.  Subject made an outcry to medical staff stating he was sexually assaulted in Rockdale County.  RCSO was contacted and Investigator is responding.
  • Disturbing The Peace Green Street.  Complainant called in reference to someone using a saw and disturbing her peace.  Negative contact.
  • Meet Officer South Side Park Lot.  Complainant requested Officer escort to retrieve his belongings from residence.  Negative contact.
  • Meadow Court in reference to complainant calling because his neighbors vehicle was blocking his drive way. The vehicle was moved prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Disturbance Pine Park.  Officer was patrolling the area and heard yelling at this location.  Upon Officers arrival a male subject was in the back yard.  He continued walking to the wood line while the Officer was speaking to other parties. 
  • Burglary Davis Street.  Complainant arrived home and noticed his front window had been busted.  After Officers cleared the residence complainant noticed that a Playstation 4 was missing.  The Playstation was entered into GCIC.
  • Disorderly Conduct Pine Park Street Clinton Foster was observed in the area of Pine Park Street.  Once he noticed a patrol vehicle he walked to a Pine Park Street apartment and went inside.  Due to the earlier incident at Davis Street Officer went to the back of the residence to wait for other units to arrive. Once units were on scene the owner gave consent to search for Mr. Foster.  He was located in an upstairs bathroom and taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct.  He was transported to the Walton County Jail and issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct.  While on scene other occupants of the residence were checked through GCIC.  Tasha Jones was on scene.  She had an active warrant for Violation of Parole.  She was taken into custody.   Bobby Watts was also on location with an active warrant for Violation of Probation.  He was also taken into custody.
