Monroe PD Reports: Vehicle hits apartment after fleeing suspects jump out while in drive

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Feb.10 – 16, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

 

  • Suspicious Vehicle in Magnolia Terrace in reference to a tan Ford Explorer speeding in the neighborhood. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person at Applebee’s in reference to a male subject refusing to pay his tab. Contact made with subject who paid his tab and left walking on foot.
  • Harassment at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, complainant requested information in reference to his ex-wife talking to his family about him. He was advised of civil remedies and Temporary Protection Order process.
  • Suspicious Person at Selman Drive, complainant advised of a suspicious male at the door. The male subject was there to work in her yard.
  • Warrant Service, Juniper Street, Social Circle. Demorio Usher and charged with Murder in reference to prior incident from Fuzions Bar & Grill.
  • Warrant Service at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Brandon Gibbs attempted to turn himself in at jail for an active Murder warrant, but jail refused him due to not having fingerprints from Monroe Police Department.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad Street in reference to male and female storing personal belongings underneath his residence. Both subjects were evicted 2 weeks ago by WCSO. Crawl space to duplex has been re-secured. Extra patrol requested.
  • Traffic Stop on North Broad Street (Golden Pantry)  Traffic Stop was done on a silver Durango.  Passenger Michael Whisnant attempted to swallow contraband.  Unknown what he swallowed. Officer attempted to stop Whisnant from swallowing the unknown substance he became combative.  Officer were able to place Whisnant under arrest and found oxycodonie, meth and $1107 on Whisnant.  Officer took Whisnant to Clearview Regional Medical Center for evaluation prior to going to jail.  3X Felony Obstruction, 1X Possession of Meth and 1X VGCSA.
  • Burglary Attempt, Roosevelt Street; complainant advised her alarm went off while she was in bed. Residence checked and no signs of a burglary attempt. Possible alarm malfunction
  • Traffic Stop on North Broad Street. Joseph Vega pulled over for speeding on Highway 78 and arrested for driving while unlicensed. The girlfriend was cited for allowing Vega to drive, knowingly he didn’t have a valid license.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on North Broad Street, traveling south into city. Caller advised a gray Lexus was driving reckless and passing vehicles before losing contact. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Mentally ill subject at Clearview Regional Medical Center, patient refusing to stay inside room. Subject calmed down and went into room.
  • Theft report taken at the Monroe Police Department.  Subject requested to meet with an officer in reference to him working undercover with the CIA and finding Chinese hacking equipment in his mom’s big screen TV. Subject returned with a valid warrant out of Newton County for Terroristic Threats and was arrested.
  • Traffic Stop / Foot Chase on West Marable Street. Three subjects jumped out of moving vehicle and left vehicle in drive. Vehicle rolled into West Marable Street Apartment. Driver fled on foot and passengers were detained. Harry Arnold Properties secured structure of residence. Driver later identified and warrants to be taken for no license and other traffic related offenses.
  • Juvenile complaint at Susie’s Wings. Caller advised named juvenile was seen at the location, skipping school. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Officer’s called to Meet in Person at Walgreens. Repo company requested an officer to stand by while he repossessed a vehicle from Pine Park Street. Last incident subject ran over repo driver with vehicle. No incident today and vehicle was taken without incident. M&M Towing and Recovery
  • Theft at Jack Peter’s Store, complainant advised she was assaulted by female subject and her mother. Complainant also stated she dropped her money and someone took the $145 cash she had. The video was reviewed and was unclear what happened to complainant’s money, but the altercation was mutual. ALL three females charged with Disorderly Conduct.
  • Damage to Property, Green Street; complainant’s Mustang was keyed on Ridge Road this date between 0100 – 0700 hours.
  • Suspicious Person, Wellington Lane. Male subject soliciting in neighborhood. Complainant advised subjects were in the area soliciting. Contact made with subject who produced a solicitation permit.
  • Fight call on Davis Street, complainant advised named female subject drove past their house and stopped to harass them. Area checked with negative contact with female subject.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, southbound on North Broad Street in reference to a red Jeep Cherokee unable to maintain its lane.  Contact made with vehicle at Wells Fargo. Vehicle front tire was almost flat. All ok.
  • Child Custody Dispute on Nowell St., Complainant advised that her juvenile’s father has taken her kids from school without her permission. Advised complainant on Remedies.
  • Dispute, Non Violent on West Spring Street, KFC, male subject on location refusing to leave.  He left prior to PD arrival.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring Street Quality Food.  Black Male wearing Tan Pants Tan Shirt on foot in the area pan handling.  Located male he was not seen asking anyone for money.  Stated he was heading home.  Male left the area on foot.
  • Pick-up from Clarke County Turkessa Sheats.  Subject was transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Criminal Trespass, Tanglewood Dr., male subject kicked in the door of complainant.  Warrants to be taken out on male subject for Criminal Trespass.
  • Domestic Dispute, Towler St., Person called stated neighbor kicked in her window then disconnected.  Caller was identified and said her husband broke the window to the residence and “fought” her.  She refused to elaborate on what she meant by “fought” and became uncooperative when being asked question.  Report taken.
  • Demented person non-violent, West Spring Street Clearview Hospital.  Person in the ER had medical issues and wanting to leave.  Assisted the hospital staff in having the patient take the medication.
