Monroe PD Reports: Vehicle in roadway with man passed out with needle in lap

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 11 – 17, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Subject in the area of West Spring St.,/ Bulldog Dr., reference to a W/M wearing all black clothing in the roadway talking to himself. Officer checked the area with negative contact.
  • Welfare Check in the area of West Spring St., Big Lots. Officer checked the area for a male pushing a stroller. Officer had negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Rest Haven Cemetery, reference to male in the cemetery smoking marijuana prior to police arrival. Male advised he was “tripping” from the drugs he ingested. He advised he smoked with another male subject who was GOA upon officer’s arrival.
  • Assault, East Church St., reference to complainant advising his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend came home to finish packing his belongings to find him inside the house. They got into a physical altercation and complainant dropped his gun. He called the police to retrieve his gun from the residence. The gun was retrieved without incident.
  • Citizen Assist, Ash St., reference to wife disputing with her husband over the usage of illegal drugs. Situation mediated.
  • Harassment, Magnolia Terrace, reference to complainant receiving death threats from her ex-boyfriend. Report taken.
  • Warrant Service at the Athens Clarke-County Detention Center. Brandon Butts picked up on a probation warrant, fingerprinted at MPD, and transported to the Walton County Detention Center.
  • Hit and Run at Piedmont Walton, reference to a white 4 door passenger car with a dealer tag side swiping complainant on Hwy. 78 east. No description of driver. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St.,/Highway 78 east, reference to a silver passenger car driving reckless. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., couple was verbally disputing with male subject and wanted him to leave their residence. Male subject left without issue and parties were separated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St., reference to a reckless Honda Accord. Officer had negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop/Warrant Served Officer observed a blue van driving down East Marable Street. Officer checked tag and it returned that the registered owner, Danielle Perrineau had an outstanding probation warrant. After the Officer affirmed that she was the driver, a stop was conducted. Danielle was taken into custody and transported to MPD for fingerprints, and then released to the Walton County Jail.
  • Welfare Check, Conestoga MHP, reference a child with autism walking away from home. Child returned to Aunt. All ok.
  • EMS Assist, West Sprig St.,/MLK Jr Blvd., reference to a male unconscious in a silver PT Cruiser. Officer made contact with Jeremy Anderson who was unconscious in the driver seat with a used needle in his lap. Jeremy came to and was cleared by MFD. Fentanyl/Heroin and marijuana was located inside vehicle. Field sobriety was conducted by GSP. Jeremy was arrested and agreed to implied consent for blood. He was released to Piedmont Walton for other issues. WTBT for Possession of schedule 1, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, DUI drugs, DUI less safe, improper stopping in roadway and impeding the flow of traffic.
  • Traffic Stop, South Broad/West Fambrough St., officer observed Steven Wilbanks driving down Pine Park Street. The Officer was familiar that his license were suspended. Officer stopped the vehicle and placed Steven under arrest. He was transported to the Monroe Police Department where he was fingerprinted and released on copy.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Bryant Rd., reference to complainant stating several children in the neighborhood were tearing the fabric lining off the gate of the Housing Authority’s equipment shed. The Housing Authority will be notified.   
  • Dispute at Magnolia Terrace Verbal Argument between male and female.  Parties separated. All ok on location
  • Follow Up, North Midland Ave., reference to checking on the welfare of a female, and to investigate her claims of a voyeur camera being installed on her laptop and possibly inside her residence, everything on location ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., reference to Silver Chrysler 300 parked in parking lot. Vehicle has no issues. Staff was advised on options.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Blaine St., J-Beauty Supply, reference to male on location behind the business with loud music coming from his vehicle, he was advised to relocate and keep the music down.
  • Welfare Check, North Midland Ave., Male was having a bipolar episode and requested to be taken Piedmont Walton.  Subject was turned over to ER staff.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Vine St., reference to a black S-10 truck. Located the Truck and spoke with the owner. All Ok.
  • Dispute, Breedlove Dr., Subject was intoxicated on location wanting to dispute and fight with individuals over vehicle being parked in yard. Officers were able to defuse the dispute and take him home. 
  • Fight, East Church St., Jack Peter’s Groceries, reference to a fight that was taking place in the area behind Jack Peters.  Subjects gone on arrival.  While on scene dealt with a party on Harris Street that was starting to get out of hand.  Both situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to a Jeep with doors open.  Negative contact with any unsecured Jeep on location.
  • Dispute, Maple Lane, reference to subjects disputing. Female wanted male to leave the residence she was advised of the eviction process. The dispute was verbal only. report taken to document the incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicles, West Spring St., McDonalds, reference to 10 pickup trucks in the parking lot.  The owner of the trucks were asked to leave.  The commented they would make a formal complaint to WCSO on Tuesday.
  • Dispute, Wheel House Lane, reference to complainant wanting roommate to move out. Both parties made aware of evictions and civil options.
  • Suspicious Person, Alcovy St., /Walker Dr., female was dropped off in the area by unknown subjects.  Taken back to Social Circle.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Walmart, Sandra Jackson was shoplifting, and while being placed under arrest fought the officers.  Sandra was arrested, and the items located in her vehicle along with less than an ounce of weed.  Will be taking warrants.
  • Suspicious Person, MLK Jr Blvd., reference to a black male who matched the description of earlier shoplifting. Officer had negative contact.
  • Warrant Served, Shamrock Dr., reference to making contact with Jeremy Anderson who had active warrants from yesterday’s incident. Jeremy was arrested, fingerprinted, and taken to the Walton County Jail. Supplement added.
  • Meet with Officer, Tanglewood Lane, complainant on location needing to gather property. Complainant was afraid of backlash from the past incident. All ok.
