Monroe PD Reports: Woman allegedly choked unconscious and raped in domestic dispute

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Feb.17 – 23, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • EMS Assist, West Spring Street – Drayer Physical Therapy in reference to a person sleeping behind the building. Contact made with male subject, who is homeless. He was awaken and sent on his way.
  • Traffic Stop on Breedlove Drive. Beatriz Montalvo was stopped for speeding and later arrested for driving while unlicensed.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Walton Road. Owner on location requesting officer to check a vehicle left in his yard by previous tenants. Homeowner advised of remedies
  • Domestic in the area of North Broad Street and Nowell Street in reference to a black male striking a black female with a stick. Area checked with negative contact. Called in 3rd party.
  • Entering Auto, South Madison Avenue in reference to complainant stating sometime last date and this morning, someone entered her unsecured vehicle and stole her GPS. No serial number provided.
  • Damage to Property report taken at 116 South Broad Street in reference to filing a private property accident report at Wild Childs Diesel, this occurred around December 8, 2016.
  • Burglary, Bridgeport Place, complainant returned home, after leaving residence from 9am to 12:30pm to noticed someone entered the residence and stole an Xbox One, Xbox 360, 42” Vizio TV, two (2) 32” AZU TVs, three (3) Ruku cable boxes and a jewelry box. CID was contacted and responded to the scene for processing.
  • Harassment, East Washington St., complainant advised he was being harassed by named male subject via email. Civil Issue over employment status and benefits. Subject was contacted by phone and advised to proceed further with an attorney rather than sending emails of his requests. Complainant did not want a police report filed.
  • Welfare Check, Lakeview Drive in reference to two juveniles missing from mother and school in Grayson. They are believed to be with their father at this address. Resident was searched with negative contact.
  • Stolen Vehicle, West Spring Street – Everett’s Florist van was taken by a white male, approximately 20 years old, who approached on bicycle and asked to use an air tank for his tires. The employee went inside to return 15 min later to determine the van missing. The vehicle was placed onto GCIC as stolen.
  • Domestic, Sporty Lane, complainant was struck by named male subject during argument. Male subject choked complainant unconscious and raped her before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Multiple warrants to be taken. Complainant was transported to Athens by EMS.
  • Theft at Papa John’s Pizza. The construction workers from Panera Bread are taking water from Franklin Financial. No one on location at Franklin’s Financial.
  • Juvenile Complaint at South Side Mobile Home Park in reference to children playing on the mailboxes, possibly damaging property. Contact made with juveniles and no damage to the mailboxes.
  • Dispute at Walmart Distribution. The manager, Michael, advised they released an employee from his job duties today and he was upset. Subject was gone upon officer arrival.
  • Warrant Service at Southeast Corrections. Cory Espinoza arrested and taken to the Walton County Detention Center for an active probation violation warrant for his arrest.
  • Damage to Property, Shamrock dr., complainant advised someone damaged her mailbox and trashcan. Neighbor that hit mailbox and advises she would replace mailbox.
  • Suspicious Person on N Broad St.& Highway 78.  Northbound on Hwy 11 before 78 male running out in front of cars.  Negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person, S. Broad St. (Hardees) Male pan handling at the store.  Told to leave numerous times by the employees and refused to leave.  Subject was gone prior to police arrival.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Martin Luther King Jr Blvd (Tractor Supply) Red F-150 swerving all over the road then started to follow the complainant.  Subject pulled into the parking lot.  Checked the area for the vehicle negative contact.
  • Firearms Discharged, Baron Drive two males are shooting guns in the back yard.  Made contact with the males said they heard gun shots and brought kids in.  But denied shooting any guns.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 11 heading towards City limits.  A Silver Jeep swerving all over the road.  Negative contact made with the vehicle.
  • Accident no Injures at McDaniel St & St. Ives Walk.  Small red passenger car struck a white pc.  No injuries.  Driver of the white passenger car left the scene prior to police arrival.  Cristiniann Bowen driver of the red passenger car had a warrant for her arrest out of winder.  Turned over to Winder Police.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 138.  Dark Truck heading towards Monroe bright head lights swerving all over the road.  Officer made contact with the vehicle and observed no traffic violations.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on S Broad St (Walgreens) White SUV parked between the store and Hardees window down and vehicle unoccupied.  Been on location over an hours Vehicle needed a battery jump.  Officer Jumped the vehicle off.
  • Suspicious person at West Spring St at Breedlove.  Two 17 year old females out walking back from Walmart.  Gave a lift to their residence and turned over to parents.
  • Assist Walton County (Car Chase) vehicle being chased by WCSO and entered into Monroe City Limits.  Assisted WCSO until the chase left Monroe City Limits.  Vehicle later caught in Morgan County.
  • Theft Report at Green St., complainant advised that named male subject took her brother’s medication.  Advised complainant to have male subject contact PD when he gets back into town to advise what medication was taken where it was taken.
  • Old Mill Pt., Subjects on location causing disturbance.  Subjects left prior to Police Arrival and then returned.  Subjects told to leave area.  One subject had laceration on his face.  Stating he fell.
  • Old Mill Pt., Subjects again returned and left prior to police arrival.  Made contact with all parties and advised to keep everyone inside for the night to sleep of intoxication.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, on Highway 78 in reference to a tractor trailer unable to maintain its lane. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Warrant Service, Lacy Street. State Probation officers on location and arrested Brandon Thomas. Thomas became combative and was transported to the Walton County Jail in a MPD vehicle due to vehicle being equipped with window-bar, because Thomas attempted to kick out the window.
  • Warrant Service, West Marable Street and Green Street in reference to Antonio Brown. Subject arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail by State Probation.
  • Damage to Property, East Washington Street – National Guard Armory. Someone cut the plastic to complainant Jeep. The vehicle was not entered and nothing was taken.
  • Traffic Stop on East Spring St., driver was stopped for tint violation and warning given; however her vehicle was towed by towing due to no valid insurance coverage.
  • Damage to Property, Unisia dr., complainant advised sometime between Sunday and last date, his truck was parked next to a semi-trailer and the trailer was moved and caused damaged to his vehicle.
  • Warrant Service, Alcovy Street in reference to Trisha Davies on located with active warrant. Subject was arrested and taken to the Walton County Detention Center.
  • Theft, Walton Street in reference to complainant’s two (2) stolen bicycles from fenced yard. Incident occurred 2/21. The bikes were described as 24” purple/white diamondback with road tires and the other bike is a 24” green/white diamondback mountain bike with no brakes.
  • Recovered Stolen Vehicle on West Spring Street near Captain D’s. The stolen van from Everett’s Florist was recovered in the field next to Captain D’s. Vehicle secured at MFD for CID to process. Other evidence collected on scene and submitted into evidence. Officer was also notified about recovery.
  • Hit and Run at Highway 138.  Ref a blue ford truck that struck Blue Ford Truck.  Accident happened in Conyers/Rockdale County.  Caller followed the vehicle from the accident scene up to Tractor Supply parking lot.  Turned over to GSP.
  • Domestic on Nelson St.  Neighbor could hear male and female screaming and slamming doors.  No claim or evidence of violence.  Situation mediated
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Birch St/Cherry Hill Road.  Large SUV Bronze in color sitting at the Stop sign for over 20 mins.  Vehicle left before police arrival.
  • Suspicious Person, Baker St., male subject was grabbing chips from evicted property on a curb.  Subject was given a ride back to Winder where he was from.
  • Suspicious Person, N Broad St (Susie’s Wings) male banging on the window at Susie’s Wings.  Made contact with male subject.  Everything is ok.  Subject went back to his resident.
  • Disturbing the peace at Tanglewood Dr large block party cars parking all over the street.  Spoke with the residence and vehicle moved off the road way.
  • Enter auto on Carver Pl, Ford Explorer entered and items all over the driveway.  Unsecured Vehicle nothing taken.
  • Burglary on Launius Ave.  Residence entered through a window.  A PS4, multiple shoes and a TV was taken.  Report taken.
  • Theft Report on Bell St., complainant contacted police wanting to report his bike was stolen.  Report taken
  • Suspicious Person on Highway 78 eastbound in reference to a white female walking in the median. Contact made and she advised her vehicle broke down. Subject was given a ride to the Walton Truck Stop.
  • Dispute at DreamWorks Automotive in reference to parking. Subject who parked improper was GOA upon officer arrival.
  • TPO Violation on Chestnut Lane, complainant was contacted by named male subject on this date and left a voicemail on her phone, violating his temporary protection order. Warrants to be taken
  • Traffic Stop on McDonald’s. Shaveyon Smith stopped for suspended tag and arrested for possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
