MPD Report: Lawn equipment stolen from business; domestic disputes and traffic stops result in arrests

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 31, 2020 to Jan. 7, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Traffic Offensive – Gene Bell Rd in reference to a Uhaul stopped for no tag light, further investigation lead to charges for possession of Meth, Possession of Drug related Objects. A passenger was also arrested and charged with giving false name and date of birth, Possession cocaine, and crossing guard line with contraband. 

EMS Assist – Arcadia Ct in reference to subject not breathing, CPR conducted. Turned over to Criminal Investigations Division. 

Burglary Report – Ammons Bridge Road at Monroe Country Club. building entered and several lawn equipment items stolen. Report taken. 

Traffic Stop – N Broad St at Bojangles. Vehicle was stopped for a brake light violation. After investigation the driver was taken into custody for Brake light violation, Poss. of Marijuana, Drug related objects (2 Counts), Forgery in the 2nd degree, and a felony warrant out of Borrow County. Warrants taken. 

Theft Report – Carver Place at. In reference to a victim reporting that she paid $311 for hair and did not receive it. Report taken. 

Dispute – Heritage Trace. In reference to the complainant threatening to cut his ankle monitor off. complainant was calmed down. All ok. 

Dispute – W Creek Cir. In reference to the complainant advising that their uncle put his hands on them. Complainant advised that male was trying to fight everyone on location. Complainant advised male is gone on foot. A warrant was obtained on the suspect for battery family violence due to striking victim in her head. 

Suspicious Person – Tyler St, First African Baptist Church. In reference to a white female possibly intoxicated or on narcotics, wearing an overcoat and a duffle bag on her back. Complainant advised that the female has been asked to leave. Contact was made with subject. She was advised to leave. All ok. 

Welfare Check – Pannell Rd. In reference to subject who called the complainant and advised that he had been stabbed in the head by his roommate. Both parties were placed under arrest for aggravated assault-family violence (O.C.G.A. 16-5-21). 

Agency Assist/Traffic Stop) Zaxbys. Officers assisted Walton County Sheriff’s Office with a felony traffic stop.
