MPD Report: Rescuer bitten by injured dog refuses treatment until dog gets to vet

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 4 – 10, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Domestic – Old Mill Pt – In reference to subject going to brother’s house and disputing over previous issues. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – E. Church St.: Michael Lanier was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, possesion of marijuana less than one ounce, and drug-related objects. Vehicle was towed to Taylors.
  • Damage to Property – W. Spring St. – Aaron’s Rental in reference to someone damaging Aaron’s van during the night.
  • Suspicious Person – Felker St.: Complainant discovered a black male asleep on the floor in her soon to be residence. He is homeless and left the property. All ok.
  • Domestic – S. Madison Ave. – Walton County Sheriff’s Office: Complainant said she has known Ryan Clark for years.  The complainant said since January, Clark has been physically abusive to her.  The complainant had fresh and old wounds all over her and a lot of wounds on her neck from Clark.  The complainant stated that Clark wouldn’t let her leave Rose Ison Ter. She also advised that when he would choke her, his mom was there to witness it. Warrant To Be Taken on Clark for battery.
  • Vehicle Collision – Martin Luther King JR BLVD – In reference to a two vehicles private property collision.
  • Suspicious Person – W. Spring S. (WalMart): Met with the complainant who stated two black males were asking patrons for money. I made contact with the subjects in row 4. They were identified. They were needing monies to get gas to get to Marietta. They left the property. All ok.
  • Theft – W. Creek Circle: Complainant stated that her son’s BMX – 18-inch bike was missing from the front yard. Stated she wanted the incident documented. Report Taken.
  • Found Property – S. Broad St. – Subject located a brown wallet belonging to another subject at the hammock park.  Wallet turned over to the owner.
  • Disturbing the peace – Cook Pl; Subjects on location having a birthday party were advised not to block the street and turn the music down.
  • Dog bite -Hwy 78WB near Hwy 11; Subject was bitten on the arm while trying to care for the K9 that was struck during the above accident. the bite required stitches but the subject refused transport and stated she would drive herself after she got the K9 to an emergency vet. WC animal control responded to the scene.
  • Loud Music – Cook Pl; Subjects were advised to turn the music off and were advised that further complaints would result in the party being shut down.
  • Fight – Cook Pl; All subjects who were fighting were gone on arrival. Party was shut down and all subjects left the area.
  • Area Check – Da Grand/Golden Pantry in reference to crowd control.
  • Gas Leak – Court Square – Historic Walton County Courthouse in reference to the flame on the torch going out. There was no gas leak detected. The torch was relit by Monroe Fire Department. All ok.
