MPD Reports: 16-year-old allegedly attacks mother after being asked to feed rabbit

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period May 1 – 8, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile Complaint – Walker Dr. A sister stated that her brother refused to go to school. He was gone on arrival. The sister was advised to go to Juvenile Courts to file Unruly against her brother. SRO of Walnut Grove HS was notified.
  • Warrant – MPD – In reference to Jacob Wrye turning himself in for theft by taking warrant. Questioned by Det Cannon and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St.: Nicole Nicolai, who was dropped off by WCSO due to being under the influence of meth and fighting three deputies to be released from jail, was discharged from the hospital earlier this morning and has been asked to leave.  Nicole has refused.  Nicole was offered many options to vacate the premises but refused.  Nicole arrested for loitering.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Blaine St. – In reference to 11-year-old student not wanting to go home after school. Child was spoken to and went home with mother.
  • Dispute – Etten Dr.: Two female subjects arguing over respecting the household rules. Situation mediated.
  • Fraud – W. Spring St.-BB&T: A forged check to complainant out of Bishop, GA, was forged and cashed at BB & T in Monroe.  The persons’ name on the check the cash was coming from, victim who lives in VA and her purse was stolen last month.  The amount cashed in Monroe was $2,250.00. This is the first of two checks.  The teller did get a tag # PAU5096 which returns to a GMC Truck and plates no longer on vehicle.  The suspect is a white female in a black SUV.  Security is working to obtain a video of the teller lane the vehicle was in.
  • Wanted Person – Alcovy St. – In reference to Jason Story with Parole Violation Warrant. Arrested and transported to WCSO.
  • Hit and Run – N Broad St Bojangles. Vehicle struck another vehicle and left the scene report taken no injuries.
  • Met With – Booth Dr: Follow up requested in reference to updated suspect information. Supplemental report added to original report. Warrants to be taken on Mikayla Pannell in reference to criminal damage to property.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Gatewood Dr. in reference to 13-year-old walking away from home.  He was found and given a ride back to his residence and turned over to the grandmother.
  • Domestic – Forest Lane. Victim stated her 16-year-old son struck her and pushed her to the ground after she asked him to feed the pet rabbit. She had to pepper spray her son to get him off of her. The son was charged with Simple battery and transported to RYDC.
  • Dispute – E Sorrell St.  Complainant stated she as playing with subject.  During the course of them playing subject hit her in the mouth.  She did not wish to press charges she just wanted Officers to speak to him and tell him he can’t do that.
  • Traffic Stop – Mill St. and S. Madison Ave.: Michael Valles arrested for disorderly conduct and local Walton County SO warrants. Use of force completed reference to taser deployment.
