MPD Reports: 3-year-old found walking alone in the street

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 19 – 26, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Welfare Check) King St. -Anonymous complainant stated a 3-year-old child was walking in the roadway. Contact made with juvenile and returned to his mother located at King St. Juvenile child unlocked the front door and walked off while the mother was in the restroom.
  • Dispute – Lacy St.- Female suspect arrested for battery (Family Violence Act) after throwing a chair at her father and making his hand bleed. 
  • Verbal Dispute – Store House Ct.; – Two subjects involved in a verbal dispute. One subject left the residence and the other subject was given a ride to Perry St.
  • Vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment – E. Spring St., and Milledge Ave. Two vehicles with extensive damage and entrapment. One driver possible driving under the influence also broke off Utility pole, Monroe utilities responded. Turned over to GSP.
  • Vehicle Accident – Unisia Dr., Hitachi. Two vehicles in the parking lot, no injuries reported. One subject involved in the accident had a probation warrant out of Sandy Springs. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Jail. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Carver Pl. Physical dispute between a man and a woman. Unable to determine the primary aggressor with no witnesses. Family Violence report completed and parties separated.
  • Fraud – S. Broad St.- MPD. Complainant advised a fraudulent check was cashed under her business account for Katy’s Diner. Possible suspect. Further investigation needed. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 138 -Anonymous complainant stated a female driver in a white impala was driving aggressively. Contact made with driver for a traffic infraction. Warning issued. Officer did not observe any aggressive driving behavior.
  • Shoplifting – N. Broad St. Three females caught on camera taking items and not paying for them. Report taken
  • Dispute – Piedmont Walton in reference to a mental patient giving staff issues. Officers were able to calm the patient down. All ok.
