The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 11 – 18, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Lacy St. Third party complaint of subjects arguing in the area. Area was checked with negative contact.
Shoplifting – West Spring St., Walmart. Offender left in a vehicle towards Highway 78WB. Loss prevention officers stated they did not need a report due to unknown what items were taken. Area of HW78WB checked with negative contact.
Lost item – Walker Dr. Complainant reports a lost vehicle tag.
Dispute – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to the staff advising that a mental evaluation patient is roaming the halls and becoming combative with the staff.
Animal Complaint – Baron Drive. Pitbull sitting on the front porch of the residence but does not live at this residence. Turned over to Walton County Animal Control.
Damage To Property – Lacy Street. Complainant advised that a window in a back bedroom was broken between Feb. 14 at 1610 Hours and Feb. 15 at 0210 Hours. Report made to be given to Landlord.
Animal Complaint – Baron Drive. Pitbull came back after the first attempt and went to the backyard this time. He was run off again.
Suicide Threats – E Marable St subject wanting to hurt herself because her stomach hurts and she keeps throwing up. Turned over to EMS.
Other Law – Lacy Street: In reference to a case. Complainant wanted the damage to be added to the report. A supplement report was added to the case.
Wanted Person – Turner Street: In reference to an anonymous call that a subject was on location with an active warrant through Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was confirmed and advised will accept. Contact was made with the subject, he was arrested, and transported to Walton County Jail without incident.
Conestoga Park – Vine St a suspicious vehicle parked with two subjects inside the vehicle. A female subject was placed under arrest for a Gwinnett County warrant. Other subject left his vehicle on the property with the permission of the property owner.
Dispute – South Madison Ave. In reference to custody and visitation of their 4-year-old child. Both parties explained the civil process and divorce proceedings. Report made.
Theft – East Fambrough Street In reference to complainant reporting theft of his Social Security funds. Report taken.
Juvenile Complaint – South Broad Street Subject jumped out of his aunt’s vehicle. Subject was taken into custody and was transported to Rockdale RYDC.
Shoplifting) 2050 West Spring Street at Wal-Mart: a white female attempting to steal merchandise. Arrest made; report taken.
Dispute – Gatewood Way Two subject having a dispute. report taken.
Dispute – W Spring St Subject on location sleeping in a booth for 2 hours, subject was criminal trespassed per employees.
Traffic Offense – West Spring St Gwinnett Clinic -Driver stopped for failure to maintain lane, arrested for driving under the influence drugs.
Animal Complaint – Michael Cir 4 dogs were outside and would not let the complainant outside. The dogs belong to resident on Michael Cir. Turned over to Animal control.
