MPD Reports: Another snake in residence, volunteer delivering lunch sprayed with water

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 6 – 12, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – Nowell St:  Complainant disputing with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend. No act of family violence committed. Report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint – W. Fambrough St. – In reference to complainant seeing a stolen bike. Contact with the rider made. Two subjects in possession of two stolen bikes. Bikes returned to owners. Juvenile complaint completed for complainant reference case and subject released to mother due to the complainant not wanting to press charges. Both bikes returned to owners.
  • Suicide threats – S. Broad St.  Monroe PD.  Report only of subject sending texts messages about not wanting to be alive anymore.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): Complainant had two subjects in his office for shoplifting. Both parties are Juvenile, and both released to their parents. Decline to prosecute. Criminal Trespass was issued to both juveniles. Report taken
  • Check Area – Charlotte Rowell Blvd. / Double Springs Church Rd Con. Stop sign being knocked down. Dispatch was notified that it is down.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart):  The subject was arrested and transported to Monroe PD to be processed and releaa sed on copy.
  • Forgery – W. Spring St.: David Cadenas and Taylor Wilson attempted to pass fraudulent prescriptions. Warrants were taken for Obtaining or attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud, forgery, or concealment of material fact. Both subjects taken into custody by Loganville PD and transferred to MPD’s custody.
  • Dispute – W. Marable St. in reference to ongoing issue.  Subjects Criminal Trespass from each other property.   Dispute – S. Madison Ave. / E. Church St. in reference to Complainant being followed by a subject. Report taken for documentation purposes.
  • Extra Patrol – Camptown Garden.  The caller stated people were on location that do not live there.
  • Animal Complaint -Turner St. in reference to a snake in the residence.
  • Traffic Stop – W. Spring St. at Henson Dr. A maroon Nissan Altima bearing tag # CIG4999 was stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign. After further investigation, it was determined that the Nissan Altima did not have valid insurance. Jay’s responded and towed the vehicle, and the driver was issued citations.
  • Meet with Officer – E. Spring St. – FISH 4 Kids. Officer was advised a 15-year-old juvenile was sprayed with a water gun on Monday June 3, 2019 at Pine Park Street while delivering lunches for FISH (FISH 4 KIDS). She was sprayed by an adult B/M because they would not give him a lunch. Report taken. Extra patrol requested during deliveries.
  • Hit-and-Run – MLK Jr. Blvd – Tractor Supply. 2 vehicles, vehicle #1 left the scene.
