MPD Reports: Assault charges, assault threats, fights and drunk person

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 12 – 19, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Assault – Mill Stone Bluff. Male entered the residence through the front door, destroyed the house, assaulted a female and infant. Warrant to be taken. 
  • Follow up – Birch St. Secured residence for a search warrant from the previous call.
  • Threats – RidgeView -. In reference to the complainant, being threatened by a subject for allowing his daughter to be discharged. He reportedly cussed at her and asked what time she got off and stated she best hoped he doesn’t catch her in the parking lot. 20M003927
  • Drunk Persons – MLK Blvd. In reference to drunk person at Longhorn. Subject was given a ride home to his residence by an officer.
  • Dispute – RidgeView. Female requesting info about how to stop her mother from interfering with her child. Remedies given.
  • Suspicious Person – Church & S. Madison. Subject found walking beside the roadway, admittedly under the influence of heroin/meth. The subject was given a ride to Piedmont Walton to be evaluated/helped.
  • Damage to Property – Baron Dr. Complainant advised that juveniles had thrown tomatoes at her residence. Complainant cleaned up the mess prior to officers’ arrival, no damage observed. Report taken.
  • Fight – Green St. Report of multiple subjects fighting in the street, no contact made with any persons.
  • Damage to Property – W. Spring St; Walmart. The subject reported running into the buggy holder 30 minutes prior to call. Report taken.
  • Unsecured Premise – S. Broad St.; The residence was cleared, no forced entry, the door was unlocked and opened. The complainant walked through with the officer and said she did not notice anything missing or disturbed. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person – N. Hammond Dr. and Bline St. in reference to multiple subjects in the roadway and not moving for traffic, subjects were told to stay out of the roadway. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person – Breedlove Dr. Officers made contact with the subject who was taken back to Piedmont Walton.
  • Dispute – Ridge Road; Report of people yelling in this apartment. Upon officers’ arrival, the subjects cut lights off and would not come to the door.
  • Lost Item – Monroe PD – In reference to subject reporting she lost her bag somewhere on S. Midland Ave. that contained three different types of medications and her Chick-fil-a uniform.
  • Firearms – Ash St. Approximately five shots heard in the area. Area checked, all appeared ok.
  • Suspicious vehicle – Pinecrest Dr. and McDaniel. Ref to two vehicles in the roadway with flashers. The driver advised his vehicle broke down while going to work. The vehicle was towed by B & C Towing/Transport. Road clear, all ok.
  • Civil issue – E. Marable St. Reference to retrieving a motor vehicle that was involved in a failed business partnership. Advised complainant that issue would need to be mediated in civil court.
  • Traffic Stop – S. Madison Ave. and E. Fambrough St. Vehicle was stopped for brake light violation. A Probable Cause search was conducted due to the odor of marijuana. Drug-related objects were located. The driver was warned for brake light, seat belt, and drug-related objects.
  • Dispute – Walker Dr. in reference to a subject being on location and refusing to leave. The subject left without incident.
  • Runaway juvenile – Knight St. Juvenile Subject DOB 12/7/2005. Circulated area unable to locate. Juvenile placed on NCIC.
